These are my past dogs 💔, and my current dogs ❤️

Just finishing a 4 day grooming convention at the All American Grooming Show down in Chicago. I took 12 classes, which comes to 16 hours of continuing education. There is also a huge trade show full of grooming tools, equipment, and products, plus some things for the dogs’ owners too. There were so many beautiful dogs to see, grooming competitions to watch, demo dogs in the seminars, and learning from some of the top names in this industry.

Picture is of the top 4 out of 12 dogs that were in the Abstract Runway competition, where more simple patterns are carved into the coat. I’m just amazed at the talent of these groomers.

I don’t see papillons too often. They are such fun little dogs. Patty and Rikki. And here’s a bonus picture of Patty getting ready to be dried, with her ear muffs on and her little tongue sticking out.

Did you know that I offer between grooming nail trims for $10? This includes a complimentary eye corners shave (where eye boogies collect) and butt shave (we know what collects there…).
This is a quick appointment and done while you wait.
This is not a walk in service, so please send a text and we will figure out a good day/time to come in.

*I only offer this to current clients for between groom maintenance, but may include other dogs in the household who don’t come for grooming.

It’s that time of year where we groomers play the game “Is It A Tick Or Is It A Growth?”. I play on level Difficult because I can’t dry dogs in my reading glasses 😂.
Upon closer inspection, no legs equals growth, not a tick.
So just an fyi, ticks are terrible this season!

I have room to add a few new, small dogs (under 20 lbs) to my grooming schedule in the next few weeks. After that, my books will be closed for the summer.

I won’t be changing my voicemail or auto response message, so feel free to leave a message or send me a text, and I’ll get back to you during business hours of Tues - Fri, 8:00 - 6:00.

Thanks! Here’s 2 poodles for your viewing pleasure 😁. I’m in the process of cording my girl, so she’s looking rough, no judgement please 🫣

16 years ago I was in grooming school. I knew I had finally found a career I was going to love, but I had no idea the passion it would ignite. When I’m not actively grooming, I’m still spending time in the grooming world - Facebook grooming groups, seminars, chatting and dinners with local groomers. Grooming is so much more than just a job for me. 🥰

After 2 lightly scheduled weeks, I’m back to normal hours. See you all soon!

4 weeks post op. Only 2 more weeks of lying on the couch, then I can finally get back to grooming dogs. I will miss my daily naps though. 😂
Today, I lured a domesticated duck into my backyard, then into the house to wait for a rescue lady to pick him up.
