We are excited to officially welcome Dr. Mason Schumaker to Outback Equine Reproduction for the remainder of the 2026 breeding season, with plans for him to continue with us full-time throughout the 2027 season. ๐
Many of our clients may already recognize Dr. Schumaker from his equine-focused internship with Idaho Equine Hospital over the past year. During his internship, he quickly became a valued member of the team through his dedication to patient care, willingness to learn, and genuine passion for the equine industry.
Dr. Schumaker is an Idaho native who grew up on a farm in Culdesac and attended high school in Lewiston. He earned his Bachelorโs Degree in Animal Science from the University of Idaho, where he was involved with the university polo team and gained valuable hands-on experience working with Straight Egyptian Arabians.
After graduating from Colorado State Universityโs School of Veterinary Medicine, Mason completed advanced training in equine reproduction, further developing the knowledge and skills that make him such a great addition to our program at Outback.
We are excited to have Dr. Schumaker working alongside our veterinarians and staff as we continue through breeding season, and we look forward to having him as a familiar face at Outback for years to come!
Please help us officially welcome Dr. Mason Schumaker to Outback Equine Reproduction! ๐ด๐
