A New Chapter for Buxton Shepherds

After many devoted and unforgettable years, Buxton Shepherds is entering a new chapter.

What began as a passion for the German Shepherd grew into a lifelong commitment to preserving the health, temperament, intelligence, and integrity of this incredible breed. Every pairing was intentional. Every litter was carefully raised. Every puppy left here with purpose — and with a piece of my heart.

Buxton Shepherds has never been “just” a breeding program. It has been a responsibility, a calling, and a community built on trust.

I am proud to share that the program is being entrusted to a wonderful couple who share the same standards, values, and deep respect for the breed. Their commitment to responsible breeding and preserving the foundation this program was built upon gives me great confidence in what lies ahead.

This will be a gradual transition over the coming months to ensure stability, continuity, and careful guidance. I will remain actively involved during this period to support a seamless handoff and protect everything Buxton Shepherds stands for.

In time, the kennel name will evolve to reflect the new ownership and their vision. While the name will eventually change, the bloodlines, standards, and integrity behind the program will continue forward. A name may shift, but the foundation and legacy built here will carry on.

To our families with current deposits or reservations: please know your commitments remain secure and will be fully honored.

We also currently have one beautiful litter available — five males and one female — ready to go home the second week of April. This litter represents both the history of Buxton Shepherds and the promise of its future.

To every family who has welcomed one of my shepherds into your home — especially those who returned again and again — thank you. Your trust has been the greatest blessing of this journey.

While my daily role will gradually evolve, my heart for these dogs and for this community remains unchanged.

Buxton Shepherds may one day carry a new name — but the legacy continues.
