πΎ A Friendly Reminder About Respecting Our Neighbors
As a local dog-walking business, I spend a lot of time in our community and genuinely value being a good neighbor. I have the privilege of caring for dogs throughout the area, and I believe local businesses should be treated with the same courtesy and respect as any other neighbor. π
With that in mind, Iβd like to ask that dogs not be permitted to urinate on vehicles or other personal property.
My vehicle is both my personal property and an important part of my business. Recently, it was urinated on while parked during one of my visits.
I understand that dogs need to go outside, but when walking a dog, the person holding the leash is responsible for where that dog is allowed to relieve itself. Please keep dogs under control and redirect them when they attempt to mark vehicles, tires, landscaping, mailboxes, or other personal property.
This is more than simply keeping things clean. Repeated exposure to urine can damage certain materials, contribute to corrosion and rust on vehicles, and deteriorate other outdoor surfaces and belongings. No one should have to worry about their property being damaged because a dog was allowed to mark it. βΉοΈ
I make every effort to be respectful of the homes, yards, vehicles, and neighborhoods I visit. I simply ask for that same consideration in return. π
This isn't about one particular incident or one particular dog. It's about basic respect for the people and property around us. π―
Thank you for helping keep our community a considerate and respectful place for everyone β including our local businesses. πΎ
