The fourth of July is a fun time for us to grill out, spend time with friends, and watch fireworks. During these festivities, our furry companions can get quite scared or end up in dangerous situations. Whether or not you're planning a 4th of July celebration, it can be beneficial to take measures to keep your pets safe during the celebrations.
Preparations:
- Make sure your pets have identification tags or microchips that have your current information on them.
- Ensure the environment your pets are in is contained. (Fenced off yard, quiet room, etc.)
Safety:
- Keep your pets away from hot barbeques, open fire, sparklers, glow sticks, and fireworks.
- During the heat always provide fresh cool drinking water, shade, and air conditioning when available.
- Know dangerous foods & items that aren't suitable for pet consumption.
Hours information:
Fox Valley will be closed Friday July 3rd through Sunday July 5th. If you have an emergency during this time please call WVRC Waukesha (262) 542-3241, or WVRC Kenosha/Racine (262) 553-9223.
We hope that you all have a fun, safe holiday weekend! 🎆
