Ollie Spotlight 🌟
Little Ollie here has been doing private sessions for a few weeks now and is looking great! In this video you’ll see us working on his loose leash walk, the goal is to start building value in the right position not a perfect heel. Lots of quick turns to keep him engaged and thinking, matched with correctly timed rewards. We also started working on maintaining engagement when distractions like cars and people go by 🚗 go Ollie!

We all know that friend who doesn’t take the hint… Sylvie just happens to be that friend 🫠😂

Here you’ll see Sylvie trying her best to get Rocky’s attention, and Rocky is doing exactly what I love to see… staying completely neutral! This kind of interaction teaches puppies how to read social cues, handle being ignored, and develop impulse control.

Not every dog wants to engage, and that’s okay! Neutral, balanced dogs like this help puppies learn confidence, patience, and respect - all while keeping things safe and positive. Neutral dogs are the best teachers 🍎

With the beautiful fall weather and those crisp hikes ahead, comes an increase in tick activity. We’ve been seeing a ton out on the trails jumping on the dogs! 😷

If your dog takes part in our group hikes, please make sure they’re protected with an up to date tick preventative. A little prevention helps keep your pup (and our whole pack) safe and healthy during this very busy tick season.

For all the new people here, I’d love to re-introduce my favorite co-workers. My own personal dogs, Kodi & Sylvie! They don’t answer emails, but they’re great at reminding me why I do what I do 🐾

Behind every good dog trainer are their own dogs-teaching, humbling, and inspiring them every day. My dogs are far from perfect (and that’s exactly how I like it) They challenge me, help me grow, and give me the chance to practice what I teach. They’re also great at helping other dogs learn, whether it’s building confidence, practicing manners, or just showing how to have fun and be a dog.
