Shooting Incident at The Depot on Main Apartments

Burleson, TX — At approximately 2:00 a.m. on Monday, September 9, 2024, officers from the Burleson Police Department (BPD) responded to a report of a shooting at The Depot on Main apartments, located at 125 N. Main Street.

Upon arrival, officers located a female victim. She was transported to a Fort Worth hospital, where she remains in critical but stable condition.

Officers proceeded to the apartment where the shooting occurred and discovered a deceased male inside. The preliminary investigation indicates that this is an isolated incident related to domestic violence. BPD is not actively seeking any additional suspects.

This is an ongoing investigation.

Please be advised that Blue Angel Weimaraner Rescue, Inc, does not do any adoptions during the holidays. The stress and chaos that comes with the holidays makes it too stressful for the dog to be able to adjust.

*******Update!******* He has a new home!

We have been notified about a 5 yr old black UTD in tack Frenchie. He will be neutered so he cannot be bred. HE DOES NOT HAVE PAPERS! This so local apartment complex is stating has to go. This is a family pet, good with kiddos and unknown about cats or other dogs. The owner sold the complex and the new owner says no pets.. Can't argue with them as they told the tenant dog has to be gone by close of today. I know this is short notice, but we would like to keep him from going to the shelter. The little fella is in the Burleson area. I will get photos soon, but we all know that Frenchies are small dogs. Please contact me if you can help out.
