🚨 KOBE STILL NEEDS A FOSTER/ADOPTER🚨

We have been searching for the right person for Kobe, and while he has received interest, unfortunately we have not found the right fit.

A shelter surrender appointment has been scheduled for Kobe. Because of his history, surrendering him to the shelter will NOT give him an opportunity to be adopted. We have a window of time to prevent that outcome, but we need to find the right person willing to step up for him. 🙏

Kobe is a 3-year-old, neutered English Shepherd who is up to date on his vaccines. He is an intelligent, loyal dog who forms deep bonds with his people and loves being included in whatever they’re doing. Whether it’s hiking, taking long walks, relaxing at home, or simply spending time together, Kobe wants to be by your side. ❤️

Kobe is:
🐾 House trained
🐾 Crate trained
🐾 Knows his basic commands
🐾 Walks nicely on leash
🐾 Has done well with other dogs
🐾 Loves physical activity and mental enrichment

Kobe does have specific placement needs, and we want to be completely transparent about them.

He needs an adult only home. Kobe has two previous bite incidents involving children. The bites were minor, and neither required medical treatment. His history does not mean that Kobe cannot have a successful future, but it DOES mean that finding the right environment for him matters.

We are looking for someone experienced who can provide Kobe with the exercise, structure, consistency, and enrichment he needs to thrive. Our trainer will work directly with his foster or adopter to provide support and help set both Kobe and his person up for success.

We know Kobe isn’t the right dog for every home. But we believe his home is out there!

Ace had his happily ever after… until tragedy changed everything 💔

Last summer, Ace came into our rescue after a couple of resource guarding incidents in his original home that resulted in minor bites. With patience, structure, and guidance from our trainer, he made incredible progress. Before long, he found an amazing adopter and finally got the happy ending every rescue dog deserves! He was loved beyond measure, spoiled, and truly living his best life.

Tragically, Ace’s adopter was involved in a fatal accident. Through no fault of his own, Ace has now lost the person he loved and is once again searching for a family to call his own.

Ace is approximately 4 years old, weighs around 25 pounds, and is a French Bulldog mix. He’s housebroken, crate trained, knows his basic commands, and is incredibly sweet and loyal to his people. And once he feels at home? His goofy side comes out!! He absolutely loves toys and has the funniest way of chasing them, it somehow manages to be both completely ridiculous and unbelievably adorable. And yes… he occasionally lets out those classic little Frenchie snorts that are guaranteed to make you smile. ❤️

Ace would do best in a quieter adult only home. While he has done well meeting a few other dogs, he has never lived with one and would likely be happiest as your one and only. Cats are unknown.

Ace already knows what it’s like to be deeply loved. Our greatest hope is that somewhere out there is another family ready to give him that kind of love again!

Meet Cookie, a beautiful 1½ year old mixed breed girl who deserves the chance to finally experience what a loving, stable home feels like 🏡

Cookie’s story started off on the wrong foot. As a puppy, she spent her time confined to a pen with very little exposure to the world around her. Because she missed out on important early socialization, strangers and new situations can be scary for her. At times she expresses that fear by growling.

The good news?
Cookie has already shown just how much potential she has! She is currently living in a temporary home with both large and small dogs, as well as children, and she has done well in that environment. Cats are unknown.
She can not stay in the home she is currently in much longer as it was only temporary to find a rescue.

Cookie is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, and looking for someone willing to give her the patience and guidance she has always deserved.

What Cookie needs:

🚨 TUCKER NEEDS SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS HIM! AND WE ARE OUT OF TIME🚨

Tucker is a 6 year old Golden Retriever who loves cuddling, offering his paw for attention, playing ball, and spending time outside ❤️ He is neutered, vaccinated, crate trained, housebroken, and knows his basic commands.

But sadly his world has been turned upside down, and right now he has nowhere to go 😢

After living through a prolonged period of instability, Tucker developed anxiety around unfamiliar people that has progressed into fear based reactivity. He needs an experienced, quiet home willing to give him time to decompress, build trust, and let him feel safe again.

He will not be your best friend when you meet him. He is going to bark and be reactive, but Tucker has no bite history. He needs someone who can see beyond that first impression and give him the time he needs to feel safe.

Tucker has lived successfully with children (including one with a disability), another dog, and a cat. However, because of his current anxiety and the major transition he’s facing, we’re looking for a quiet, experienced home without young children. Any resident dogs would require slow, structured introductions over time while Tucker has his own separate space to decompress.

Charlie’s Rescue Angels will provide all training and behavioral support! You will not be doing this alone!

Tucker doesn’t need someone to “fix” him overnight. He needs someone willing to give him stability, patience, structure, and the chance to show them the sweet dog his family knows and loves.

We are out of time, and Tucker urgently needs a safe place to land 💔🙏

💙🐾 ODYSSEY UPDATE! 🐾💙

Can you believe this handsome boy is already just over three weeks into his board and train?!

AND HE IS DOING FANTASTIC ❣️

Odyssey has been working hard on his obedience and is doing so great! He’s doing fantastic on his walks, and every single day he’s building more and more confidence 🤩

One of the biggest things he’s learning is something that might sound simple, but is SO important…how to relax. Once he’s gotten his energy out in productive ways, one of his favorite things has become laying down and happily chewing on his bone instead of feeling restless from his stress 🥹

Odyssey has also started brief, controlled introductions to other dogs and is showing a healthy curiosity about them! In the coming days we’ll begin more formal introductions that include more interaction 🐶

Odyssey truly is just an incredibly sweet and fun dog! Every day he shows us a little more of his personality, and it’s been so wonderful watching him come out of his shell. ❤️

His board and train will be complete in three more weeks, and at that time Odyssey will be looking for either a foster-to-adopt or foster home. If you think you may be interested in this boy, we are accepting applications now for pre-approval 😊

Odyssey is young and active, so he’ll do best with someone who will give him appropriate physical and mental outlets and continue his training. He will come with training sessions so everything he is learning will be transferred and he can continue on the wonderful path he is on! We would suggest older kiddos for this guy and no cats or small dogs! We will also continue with weekly updates on him for more information and soon he will have a bio ✍️

This most handsome boy is still waiting for his forever 😢.

Oh Henry 😍😍😍

This adorable guy first came to us sick and in pretty rough shape, but he has blossomed into a healthy, happy, and very affectionate sweetheart! Now that he’s feeling great, he’s eager to find his forever home!

Henry is about 2 years old and is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He is the definition of a love bug! He’ll happily nap on your chest for hours and loves being held like a baby. After spending his entire life outdoors before coming to Charlie’s, Henry has fully embraced the comforts of indoor living. It suits him perfectly.

Henry is FIV+, so he will need to remain strictly indoors to help keep him healthy. FIV is not spread through casual contact and he can live a normal life with other friendly cats! He does very well with other cats and doesn’t mind the resident dog in his foster home!
