Late night shenanigans from last night 😒
The one night in the entire year that the chickens refused to go to the coop and instead roost all over the yard just so happened to be the one night of the year I planned to swipe a bunch of adults to take to the swap.
I knew before I went down the hill something was wrong because birds are clearly places they arent supposed to be. Told my partner I was taking my gun and if he heard shots, it was me vs. the chicken coop intruder.
The said intruder? A pint sized wittle guy! And I think he was just as freaked out as the chickens because the broody hen posted up in front of the door was not letting him leave without getting his ass kicked.
My body guards caught the vibes were off and went in and retrieved him, I was not happy with their actions and took him into my own custody before the brutish bouncers could attempt to bounce his ass back to Oppossum Jesus.
He thanked me for his swift rescue by latching onto my sleeve, prompting me to give him a mini test flight. 3/10, could use flying lessons.
Finally, rescued him from the overly eager bouncers... again. This time, via yogurt container. He was then released far away from my body guards' reach and I proceeded to spend the next few HOURS hunting chickens out of my yard with a spot light. Some did not go as willingly as others.
All this to say MOST of the Satin Silkie Project are in deed prepped for taking to the swap. With the exception of maybe a trio I couldnt find.
