Sunny Love isn’t even a year old. She weighs 296lbs, stands 6’ tall, and eats postmen for breakfast. That may be slightly exaggerated but Sunny is very big. Over 100lbs at 11 months old. That’s a lot of puppy! Luckily, her human has done a great job with her and she is an angel! Comes when called, walks on a loose leash, plays great but can take breaks, and she’s the biggest sweetheart ever with humans.
She’s enjoying her stay this week with Ronan, Euchre, and Burger! More friends arrive through out the week!

A word or so on equipment:

So much is written about the use of tools on dogs; electronic collars, prongs, chain collars, an endless litany of tools deemed abusive and *outdated*.

People struggle with the concept that the tool by itself is inert. It cannot affect any change in behavior without specific, and one would hope, appropriate application.

The user is always the issue. I am asked constantly by people who inquire about training whether or not I use "those" tools.

To be honest, I don't use *those* tools the way the inquirer thinks they are used, but I use those tools in the commission of my job; training dogs, every day.

I am not hobbled by idealism, but freed by the ability to pick and choose, from a wellspring of knowledge and experience, the correct tool for the dog, and the correct application of a variety of tools.

Others' mileage may vary.

To continue offering the best service and to grow with today’s economy, we will be adjusting our boarding rate from $50 to $65 per day. This is our first price change since opening, and this decision was made only after careful consideration.

As a thank you for your loyalty, all bookings placed before March 1st, 2026, for the current calendar year will be honored at the current rate of $50 per day. This offer applies to both current and new customers. Please note that for new dogs, we require a brief boarding trial and a facility tour before confirming bookings.

We are assisting in finding a new home for this beautiful girl. Skye is a 1 1/2 old female spayed Husky. This pup is extremely near and dear to us at Who’s A Good Boy. Her current owner who loves her to the moon and back isn’t able to continue providing her with the attention she deserves due to some life changes. This is not due to poor behavior.

Skye is a very well behaved young husky. Her owner completed a board and train with us in her first year, as well as follow ups and ongoing boarding. Skye is off leash reliable with her e-collar, walks nicely on a leash, is very well crate trained, and very social with dogs and humans. Skye will play with any dog, big or small. She can be a little annoying with a cat but nothing that can’t be managed and fixed using her obedience. Her biggest weakness is digging holes when left unsupervised.

Skye’s personality and temperament are what people strive for in breeding programs. She is social, has prey drive but remains obedient when commanded, likes to be with humans, but also likes laying in the yard by herself watching the world turn. Skye loves to chew bones and destroy fluffy toys. She is fully potty trained. Skye has been around infants (and will lick their toes when you’re holding a baby), young children, and was raised around a swimming pool. She has swam in rivers but her owner did a great job teaching this hairy pup to stay out of the pool (I’m sure she could be taught if that’s desired).

VERY IMPORTANT: Skye is a husky. She requires exercise, attention, and grooming. Skye sheds a lot. If you don’t plan on or if question your ability to maintain her coat, you will need a groomer to bath and brush her a few times a year at least.

Must be a Maryland resident, preferably within an hour of Buckeystown. We will be providing ongoing training at no cost to whoever snags this gem of a dog.
