My friend sent me this photo and short article.
I CHANGED IT 🤣🤣🤣

Mary Brocks, a young mother of 9 from Liverpool, reads a bedtime story to her children, which included both triplets and twins in 1963. She was just 25 years old at the time.

In this remarkable photo from 1963, 25-year-old Mary Brocks of Liverpool sits on a crowded couch, surrounded by her nine children, including both triplets and twins. Despite her young age and the overwhelming demands of motherhood, she appears composed, book in hand, reading a bedtime story while balancing babies on her lap.

The photo offers a powerful snapshot of post-war Britain, a time when large families were more common, and mothers often carried the weight of child-rearing with little support.

Mary’s story captured the attention of the British public, symbolizing both the challenges and quiet heroism of everyday family life. Raising nine young children under one roof, all so close in age, required an extraordinary level of patience, strength, and resilience.

Today, this image stands as a poignant reminder of the invisible labor carried by mothers like Mary, women who managed chaos with grace, and love in abundance despite limited means.

Everyday the pups and Mommas have free reign over the livingroom area for several hours. The pups routinely continue to exit thru the doggie door out to their turfed play and relief area to potty so we have minimal accidents(if any!). Everyone is happy, healthy, thriving, and soon ready to go to their new homes with you!! If you know anyone looking, Crisp (ruby male) is still waiting ❤️ pm me
