At this point in time, this volunteer page is on indefinite hiatus. Please follow the official page, Bryan Animal Center, for updates and information on the center.

We appreciate all the help and support we've gotten on this page through the years. Unfortunately, life circumstances have changed for most of our admins and we are no longer able to keep up with the page. We hope to be able to come back to it in the future. Thank you for caring about the animals at BAC and please help continue networking them via the official shelter page!

A VERY important component of the equation in helping the center save lives is fostering, and there can never be enough foster homes, so we would love for you to join the mission! We are so THANKFUL to all the foster parents who have come in to save the day for the healthy, sick, old, or young dogs and cats! Without you, many of them would not be here to tell their tale. Not sure about fostering??? Here is a testimony from Lauren, one of the center's foster parents:

"Animals have always been my biggest passion, so when I came to college, I decided fostering would be a great way to help out our voiceless critters. I'm currently on my 9th foster. She's a 4 week old kitten named Peach and she's an absolute sweetheart. She's the only one left of her litter, and just when she thought the world had given up on her, I was given the opportunity to save her. I took her home, gave her a bath, and cuddled her for hours. In a world with so many terrible things, she's a reminder of the innocent and beautiful things in life, just as every foster is. I've never been so in love with something as I am with fostering. It's taught me so much about love, life, patience, understanding, and more. The best part is that it's of no cost to me. I'm provided with everything I need to care for my fosters, and all I do is take them home, care for them, and give them the endless love they deserve until they find their forever home. Fostering is something that I recommend to everybody I meet, especially those unsure of whether or not they want a pet of their own!"
