🚨 BIG NEWS for Animal Welfare in Texas!

In a historical move, the Texas Legislature has appropriated $13 million for a two-year pilot program to be administered by the Department of State Health Services (DSHS). These funds, pending final approval by Governor Abbott, will be used to reduce the number of unvaccinated, unsterilized dogs and cats to prevent the spread of diseases like rabies, toxoplasmosis, and leptospirosis.

This pilot program means DSHS develops rules and procedures for how the funds will be administered and distributed, so we anticipate implementation will take several months.

THLN will be monitoring the rollout closely, and we will be hosting stakeholder meetings to gather input from shelters, veterinarians, rescue groups, and local municipalities across the state.

This is a major step forward, but just the beginning! Stay tuned.

Update:

My two-year adventure as a vendor at Love Downtown local has been a memorable experience. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my feline-inspired gifts with you in this unique space. As they embark on a new chapter with a shift in direction, our time as a vendor at this location will come to an end this month.

I'd like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my loyal customers for making my time there truly special. Although I am sad to be leaving, I'm deeply appreciative of the support that you have given me.

As I consider the future of Crazy Cat Momma, I want to keep you informed. Currently, it is uncertain whether I will continue to operate without a physical location, as I don't plan to shift back to online sales. Please stay tuned for more information on my upcoming going out of business sale.
