💕 Happy Fiona Friday! 💕
This sweet girl might just be the most easygoing donkey on the farm. Patient, kind, and cuuuuteeeee- She’s always happy to enjoy a good grooming session or a few extra scratches.
Fiona is just one of those donkeys who makes you smile simply by being herself. We sure love this sweet girl! 🫏🩶

❗️UPDATE ❗️Jenae has found a wonderful new home and will be headed there tomorrow morning! Thank you to everyone who reached out and shared this post 🫏🩶

Jenae is an approximately 8-year-old black standard donkey whose longtime horse companion sadly passed away this week. She is doing okay, but she is definitely lonely, and she is now looking for a new equine family to call her own. She also has some of the BEST ears we've ever seen!

Jenae is a super sweet girl who loves attention- and especially butt scratches! She is halter trained and does ok for the farrier, although her owner says she needs someone who is patient and willing to give her the time she needs.

We would love to find Jenae a wonderful home ASAP so she can go directly from her current home to her new home rather than having to move twice. If we can't find the right placement quickly, we may bring her here to Long Ears Landing temporarily if needed, but our hope is that we can find her a suitable home before that becomes necessary.

Jenae will be adopted to a companion home only. She will not be placed as a guard animal or anywhere without other equines. She deserves a home where she can have a friend, be loved, and live the life she deserves.

If you think Jenae might be a good fit for your herd, please send us a DM. We can put you in touch with her current owner to learn more about her and discuss placement.

Please share this post - the right person for Jenae is out there, and we'd love to help connect them.

Let's find this sweet girl a home where she won't have to be alone. 🫏❤️

🎉 Happy Birthday to the donkey dad himself, Matt Watkins! 🎉

From building shelters and hauling hay to mowing pastures, doing chores, and loving on the long-eared crew, Matt does it all!

And when it comes to adding another donkey, he’s definitely not the voice of reason… he’s always the one saying, “What’s one (or 2 or 3) more?” 😂

Help us wish Matt a very Happy Birthday! We’re so thankful for everything he does for Long Ears Landing and all of our long-eared friends! 🥳

June, Roscoe & Daisy Jean are wearing the aftermath of a much-needed rainy day.

A little mud never hurt anyone- especially when it comes with happy long ears and some much needed rain! 🌧️ 🫏

We’re celebrating ONE YEAR of Long Ears Landing, and as we look back on this first year, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who has supported us along the way. From donations and volunteering to sharing our posts and cheering us on- thank you for helping us get here!

Our October goal is $100 per long ear- $1,900 for the month!

It’s a lofty goal, but we know what an amazing community we have behind us. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps provide feed, hay, medical care, hoof care, and everything else our long ears need.

And we’re going to make reaching our goal FUN! We’ll have exciting raffles and giveaways throughout the month, including a SUPER special raffle we’ll announce this week that our local followers are definitely going to want to hear about!

Help us kick off our anniversary month and reach our $1,900 goal!
