Kitten season is starting to feel less like a season & more of a year round occurrence here at Cali Cats.
💖As we’ve recently had a larger intake of little ones, we wanted to take a moment to remind you why we adopt our kittens in pairs.
🌟OF COURSE, THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS🌟
If you already have a playful, outgoing cat at home, your new kitten may already have the buddy they need and will not need to go home as a pair.
🐈⬛KITTENS LEARN FROM EACH OTHER
Important life skills come from having a companion. Cats learn how to play appropriately, find where the litter box is and how to interact with humans.
Often times the kitten you bring home will not be the confident cuddle bug you saw in your meet & greet, so having a friend will help give them confidence in a new home to help them be that sweet personality that stole your heart in the first place.
🐈DOUBLE THE FUN, NOT DOUBLE THE WORK FOR YOU
Having a friend means they keep the chaos towards each other & not outwards towards you or your home. They tire each other out so you don’t have to. They’ll wrestle, chase, groom, and nap together.
They chase each other, so come 3:00 AM it doesn’t become “zoomie” hour.
🐈⬛REDUCED SEPARATION ANXIETY
With all the stereotypical aloof cat banter, cats and especially, kittens, are very social. When moving to a new environment, it may cause anxiety and stress. But nothing will seem as scary when you have your best friend by your side. And when you’re at work all day long, they’ll have a friend to keep them company.
“What if I have a dog?”
Dogs can absolutely become amazing companions for but it does not replace the developmental benefits of having a feline friend.
