A snake’s jaws and skull are specially adapted to handle prey much wider than its head, and they use flexible ligaments and strong muscles to work prey into position. But this picture looks less like “nature’s dinner” and more like the mouse just got promoted to co-pilot. 😂

Bro… you’re standing in the middle of the room. We all see you. 💀😂

Just standing there… mean muggin’ like:
“Excuse me. I ordered FOOD. Not excuses.” 👁️👄👁️🦎

Tell ’em about your pet, Houdini… 🐢😂

Okay, I’ll go first.

This is Houdini. My yellow-bellied slider who disappeared for SIX MONTHS and then casually showed back up one day like he had just gone to grab a snack. 🤣

No explanation. No apology. No “sorry I scared you.”

Just 🐢💨 “Hey guys, I’m back.”

So apparently Houdini isn’t just his name… it’s his entire personality. 😂

Now YOUR turn 👇
Tell me about your pet Houdini! What’s the craziest thing your pet has ever done? 😂🐾

Okay, be honest… how many dragons did you see? 👀😂🐉

These two have been together since birth. I rescued them in the same cage, and when I tried separating them, they made it VERY clear they were not fans of that plan. 😂

Sometimes the reptiles have opinions… and apparently, these two share a brain cell. 🧠🐉💕

🌿 Vivarium Build Update! 🦎

It’s starting to come together!

There’s been a lot of progress since my last update. Everything that’s finished so far has been sealed with Drylok—I prefer doing it section by section as I build. It keeps the process organized and lets me move forward with confidence.

Now I’m down to the last wall and deciding how I want to finish it. There are also a few accents still to come that should really bring the whole enclosure together.

If this were your build, what would you add to that final wall? Drop your ideas below! 👇

Not every reptile starts out wanting to be your best friend. 🦎💚

This is Big Daddy, my Cuban rock iguana. Getting to this point didn’t happen overnight—it took a LOT of patience, consistency, and learning to earn his trust.

Along the way, I got a few gentle nibbles 😅, but honestly… I was way more afraid of getting tail-whipped! Their tails can crack like a whip and reach speeds of up to 21 mph. 💨

People always ask what I used to build trust. His favorite rewards were an occasional hibiscus flower 🌺, some fruit 🍓, and every now and then a worm (just as a treat—not something they should have often).

Now? He chooses to hang out with me, and that’s something I’ll never take for granted. Trust with reptiles isn’t given… it’s earned. ❤️

Would you be more nervous about the bite… or the tail? 😂👇

Every custom vivarium starts with a vision… one piece at a time. 🌿🦎

I love creating natural habitats that allow these incredible animals to thrive while reflecting the beauty and detail found in God’s creation. Every rock, branch, plant, and finishing touch has a purpose.

Thank you for following along as I share my passion for reptiles, education, and the amazing creatures God entrusted us to care for.

If you could have a custom vivarium built for one reptile, which one would you choose?

🐉 Dragon spa day! 🛁💦

Believe it or not, many bearded dragons actually enjoy a good soak! Warm baths can help with hydration, support healthy sheds, and some dragons even love to paddle around just for fun. 🏊‍♂️

Educationally speaking, bearded dragons can swim, but they aren’t natural swimmers like aquatic reptiles. In the wild, they may float or paddle if needed, but they usually prefer shallow water where they can keep their feet on the ground. That’s why bath time should always be supervised and kept safe and shallow. 💡

This little dude decided it was backstroke o’clock. 😂 Who knew dragons had Olympic swimming dreams?

Does your beardie love bath time, or do they act like the water personally offended them? Tell me below! 👇
