We provide compassionate care for dogs, cats, small animals, birds, exotics & poultry. A non-profit veterinary clinic! Another road home. Caring for pets already home, and those on their way. We are a non-profit clinic that provides routine and preventative care for rescue pets as well pets that have already found their forever home.

Today, we’re saying “see you later” to Dr. Zach. 💙
Dr. Zach joined MARS in May 2025, and during his time here, he brought more than veterinary care to our clinic. He brought a genuine love for MARS, our mission, and the people and pets who make up this community.

He is stepping away from his role with MARS to focus on building TCCare, his own clinic in Hopkins.

Sometimes, loving something also means recognizing when it is time to make room for what each side needs next. We part with a lot of gratitude, respect and an open door for the future.

Dr. Zach, thank you for the care you gave, the heart you brought and the chapter you shared with us. We are proud of what you’re building and will be cheering you on.

While this chapter with Dr. Zach is coming to a close, the MARS Veterinary Clinic remains open and caring for pets and their people. We’ll have more to share Wednesday as we introduce the newest member of our veterinary team.

🇺🇸 The Fourth of July is just **two weeks away!**

If your pet struggles with fireworks, needs medication refills, or should see a veterinarian before the holiday, now is the time to make that call. Appointments can fill quickly as July 4 gets closer!

With America celebrating its 250th birthday this year, we expect plenty of extra festivities—and likely extra fireworks. Please make a plan now to help keep pets, people, and wildlife safe. ❤️

A quick MARS Vet update: our clinic is currently open with limited hours. And if you know a veterinarian who would love to help care for community pets while helping save rescue animals, please send them our way! 😁

Happy Veterinary Appreciation Day! 🩺🐾

Today, we’re celebrating two veterinarians whose knowledge, compassion, and leadership make an incredible difference for MARS.

Thank you to Dr. Zach, our veterinarian, for caring for the animals who come through our doors—and for helping bring our Vets4Vets program to life, supporting veterans and the pets who mean so much to them.

And thank you to Dr. Ge**er, our Chief Veterinary Officer and member of the MARS Board of Directors, for sharing her expertise and helping guide the future of our veterinary care.

We’re so grateful to have both of you helping us care for pets, support their people, and build what comes next for MARS. 💙

MARS Community — we have a clinic update to share!

Dr. Zach has officially purchased a clinic in Hopkins and will be working to get it up and running 🎉

Don’t worry—he’s not going anywhere! He’ll still be at MARS Vet every Wednesday and every other Saturday seeing community pets.

MARS animals will be seen by his team at TC Care, the new clinic, so we can continue providing care and stay true to our nonprofit mission. That commitment isn’t changing—we’re here for our community, always.

We’re also looking to bring on an additional veterinarian to help cover a few more days each week when Dr. Zach isn’t at MARS.

Most importantly: we are NOT closing our doors.

We’re simply making a short-term pivot to ensure a strong, sustainable future for MARS Vet and the community we serve.
