It's National Veterinary Technician Week!! 🐾

If you've ever wondered how our veterinary team manages to do 17 things at once while keeping a nervous dog calm, comforting a worried pet parent, and remembering which patient needs what... well, we're still wondering too. 😂

Veterinary technicians are pretty incredible.

They're skilled caregivers, advocates, problem-solvers, comforters, and sometimes professional treat negotiators.

And here at MARS, we're lucky to have some wonderful ones!

To our veterinary technicians, thank you for the knowledge, patience, compassion, and hard work you bring to MARS every day. We see you, and we appreciate you more than you know. 💙

Help us give our vet tech team a little extra love this week!!

All MARS departments are closed Sunday and Monday and will reopen Tuesday. If you need to reach us in the meantime, you’re welcome to send us an email and we’ll get back to you once we’re back:

Today, we’re saying “see you later” to Dr. Zach. 💙
Dr. Zach joined MARS in May 2025, and during his time here, he brought more than veterinary care to our clinic. He brought a genuine love for MARS, our mission, and the people and pets who make up this community.

He is stepping away from his role with MARS to focus on building TCCare, his own clinic in Hopkins.

Sometimes, loving something also means recognizing when it is time to make room for what each side needs next. We part with a lot of gratitude, respect and an open door for the future.

Dr. Zach, thank you for the care you gave, the heart you brought and the chapter you shared with us. We are proud of what you’re building and will be cheering you on.

While this chapter with Dr. Zach is coming to a close, the MARS Veterinary Clinic remains open and caring for pets and their people. We’ll have more to share Wednesday as we introduce the newest member of our veterinary team.

With gratitude,
Your MARS Family

🇺🇸 The Fourth of July is just **two weeks away!**

If your pet struggles with fireworks, needs medication refills, or should see a veterinarian before the holiday, now is the time to make that call. Appointments can fill quickly as July 4 gets closer!

With America celebrating its 250th birthday this year, we expect plenty of extra festivities—and likely extra fireworks. Please make a plan now to help keep pets, people, and wildlife safe. ❤️

A quick MARS Vet update: our clinic is currently open with limited hours. And if you know a veterinarian who would love to help care for community pets while helping save rescue animals, please send them our way! 😁

Stay safe and celebrate responsibly!

Happy Veterinary Appreciation Day! 🩺🐾

Today, we’re celebrating two veterinarians whose knowledge, compassion, and leadership make an incredible difference for MARS.

Thank you to Dr. Zach, our veterinarian, for caring for the animals who come through our doors—and for helping bring our Vets4Vets program to life, supporting veterans and the pets who mean so much to them.

And thank you to Dr. Ge**er, our Chief Veterinary Officer and member of the MARS Board of Directors, for sharing her expertise and helping guide the future of our veterinary care.

We’re so grateful to have both of you helping us care for pets, support their people, and build what comes next for MARS. 💙

Speaking of what comes next… our veterinary team is growing! We’re currently looking for another compassionate veterinarian to join Dr. Zach and the MARS team. Learn more: https://www.indeed.com/job/community-veterinarians-16e84fa6096d6aef

MARS Community — we have a clinic update to share!

Dr. Zach has officially purchased a clinic in Hopkins and will be working to get it up and running 🎉

Don’t worry—he’s not going anywhere! He’ll still be at MARS Vet every Wednesday and every other Saturday seeing community pets.

MARS animals will be seen by his team at TC Care, the new clinic, so we can continue providing care and stay true to our nonprofit mission. That commitment isn’t changing—we’re here for our community, always.

We’re also looking to bring on an additional veterinarian to help cover a few more days each week when Dr. Zach isn’t at MARS.

Most importantly: we are NOT closing our doors.

We’re simply making a short-term pivot to ensure a strong, sustainable future for MARS Vet and the community we serve.

Thank you for being with us every step of the way 💙

Dental Month may be ending…
But dental care isn’t seasonal.

Healthy teeth mean:
- Less pain
- Better appetite
- Longer, healthier lives
- Fewer costly procedures down the road

Whether your pet needs a routine cleaning or more advanced dental care, our team is here to help — in February and all year long.

If it’s been a while since their last dental exam, this is your sign to schedule it.

February is almost over… and so is Dental Month.

If you’ve been meaning to schedule a cleaning, this is your nudge. 👀

Dental disease doesn’t fix itself — and pets are really good at hiding pain.

If their breath could clear a room, if they’re chewing differently, or if you see tartar buildup, it’s worth a check.

Cleanings protect more than just teeth. They protect long-term health.

Teef check! 😁

February is Dental Month and we’re just over halfway through!

Bad breath? Tartar buildup? Red gums? Teeth that look… questionable?

Dental disease is one of the most common (and most overlooked) health issues in pets — and it doesn’t just affect their mouths. It can impact their heart, liver, and kidneys too.

Dr. Zach and our team are here Wednesday–Saturday and would be happy to take a look.

Whether it’s a routine cleaning or extractions that need to happen, we’ll walk you through it.

Call us at 763-463-9391
Or email [email protected]

Let’s keep those tails wagging and those smiles healthy. 🦷🐾
