🔥🔥A Little Merle Genetics Education🔥🔥

So, what exactly is a mosaic merle?

Simply put, a mosaic merle is a dog that has different versions of the merle gene in different groups of cells.

Think of it as a genetic patchwork. Some cells carry one version of the merle gene, while others carry a different version.

This happens naturally during early development and can result in unique coat patterns, subtle markings, or sometimes no obvious merle markings at all.

Genetics can be fascinating, and mosaic merles are a perfect example of just how complex coat color genetics can be.
