So many of my recent experiences are affirming what I’ve been feeling pulled to in my equine bodywork practice. Every time I have the opportunity to work with horses and their bodies, I become more aware of the profound relationship between mental and physical tension and the way it influences how horses carry themselves and interact with their world.

Releasing tension in horses goes so far beyond just making changes to their body in a present moment of an static individual bodywork session. Releasing tension should be a practice we participate in daily, through every interaction we have with our horses. It shouldn’t be seen as something we only give to them for an hour’s appointment once a month. It should simply be how we strive to continually show up, connect and interact with them.

📣 The next Weekend Course in Montana will be happening June 27–28 in Kalispell. If you can’t make the June clinic, we’re also offering an additional course September 5–6 this year.

I’ll be there assisting for the weekend. This clinic includes two full days of hands-on learning and will give you a ton of new bodywork tools to take home and use with your horses.

I'll be headed up north again this summer to assist instructor at the 2 day weekend seminar in Kalispell, Montana.

In this foundational course, you will have hands-on exposure to the techniques covered in the Beyond Horse Massage book. You will also be learning to recognize the visual responses of the horse to your touch when finding and releasing accumulated tension within the key junctions of their body. While horses will be provided at the course, you’ll be able to apply all that you’ve learned to your own horse afterward!

I enjoy all the seasons Montana has to offer though there is something truly rejuvenating about getting to ride on a warm summer night.

As my horses are getting older I'm finding myself asking a lot - how can I best help you in this phase of our relationship? What is still feeling good in your body to be doing and what is feeling like too much?

I feel so grateful that I've been able to be apart of both my horses worlds for over two decades. And quiet honestly, shaken up when I think about doing this horse thing without them.

As long as their bodies and minds feel good though, we'll still be getting after it! I know our rides look different now but I'm here for it and so grateful for it too. I also know when we're no longer able to ride together, that I'll be just as grateful for the nickers they give when they see me coming and the comradery we'll still share standing together out in their pastures.

This Masterson Method demonstration being held on June 28th is going to be a fun experience and wonderful opportunity to learn more about equine bodywork, be able to ask questions along the way and watch a whole horse session unfold!

I couldn't ask for a better hosting location at and am excited for those who attend the event to get to see the many improvements this facility has been busy making this year.

We'll be providing snacks and the horse. You just bring yourself, a chair and the eagerness to learn! To RSVP, touch base with me.
