As we are winding down the day I want to ask your forgiveness for missing this post first thing this morning. Today, August 28th is Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day, and in honor of that I’d like to share my personals cat’s story as well as share more pictures of our beloved clinic cats Sully and Tiny. Marlowe was the first cat I ever owned as an adult. My husband and I adopted her from some friends whose children were allergic. She was found in an alley so I always called her my dirty rotten street cat. She was FelV+ and our initial vet recommended euthanasia at just 4 months. My husband and I said no thank you, we’ll see how she does. Marlowe lived to almost 7 years old! We took great care of her, made sure she was given the proper diet, medical treatment if needed, and most of all, a loving and caring home. My sweet girl launched herself across that Rainbow Bridge on Christmas, approximately 5 hours before I was set to depart on a school trip to London, England for two weeks. I miss her every day, I tell my newborn about her, I tell my two new cats about her. We may not have our pets for our entire lives, but they have us for their entire lives. Let’s make sure it’s a great one and treat all of our furry babies with love and kindness until it’s time for them to leave us. Please share pictures of your Rainbow Bridge babies so we can join you in remembering them! -Youe Friendly Neighborhood Social Media Girl
