TNR SWVA We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for community cats in Southwest Virginia.

Our mission is to advocate and participate in trap, neuter & return for community cats; to help and provide outreach to members of the community to humanely control cat overpopulation; to create a gateway for the public through communication and exemplification to gain support of TNR; & to serve as a resource for guidance, health and welfare of community cats so that we are decreasing the amount of suffering, shelter intakes and unnecessary euthanasias, all while keeping the most important aspect in mind, to improve and save the lives of community cats.

Let's make this week an extra special for all of our fabulous veterinary technicians and assistants. They are truly the backbone of veterinary medicine AND our TNR efforts, working (& often volunteering) with us to make a difference in the lives of our community cats! ❤

Happy ! The last two weeks have been NONSTOP, with a whopping 49 community cats receiving veterinary care! Each and every one of these babies will go on to live happier, healthier lives at a lower risk of contracting particular infections and no longer contributing to Southwest Virginia's cat overpopulation. One little girl from Bedford County has been living with a pipe around her neck for at least 3 months. Finally caught, she now has relief!

Our generous donors and dedicated volunteers make our mission possible. We couldn't do what we do without your support!

It's been another fulfilling week here at TNR SWVA! We are thrilled to announce that we have funded 554 surgeries this year and facilitated even more, surpassing last year's numbers! #⃣

Just this week, we helped with 22 spay/neuter surgeries, resulting in 22 more community cats living happier, healthier lives in their outdoor homes. TWENTY-TWO cats who will no longer contribute to the feline overpopulation here in Southwest Virginia. 🐈

The amount of work and commitment involved in TNR is absolutely incredible. We are so blessed to have such a dedicated group of volunteers, colony caretakers, donors and veterinary staff to come together and make our mission possible. YOU are making a difference! 😻
