Plot twist: Tea came up lame right before our much-anticipated cross-country schooling day. 💔 So Tea got the rest he needed—and lesson pony Bella stepped up to make sure I still got my cross-country fix!

For her very first cross-country school, Bella was brave, willing, and completely adorable. She may not have been the horse I planned to ride, but she turned out to be exactly the horse I needed. 🥹💚

Not all heroes wear capes…some are lesson ponies. 🐴✨

Just over a year ago, I walked away from a job I’d had for nearly two decades feeling a little traumatized, very unsure, and with absolutely no idea what came next.

And if you know me, you know change is not my favorite thing. 😂

At the time, it felt like one of the worst things that could have happened to me. A year later, I can see it for what it really was—one of the biggest blessings of my life.

This year has brought some truly wonderful people, clients who trusted me, opportunities I never expected, and the chance to build something in a way I had always dreamed of but never really believed I’d get to.

I’m incredibly thankful for every person who encouraged me, trusted me, opened a door, or simply believed I could do this.

What I thought was an ending turned out to be the beginning of something I’m incredibly proud of and grateful for.

And I hope that I’m just getting started. 💚

My lesson program officially has a name of its own. 💚🐴

Journey Equestrian

I wanted a name that reflects what I believe riding is really about—the process.

Learning. Trying. Struggling. Growing. Building confidence, independence, and a relationship with the horse underneath you.

Because there’s so much value in everything that happens along the way.

I’m incredibly thankful for the people who have given me this opportunity m, trusted me, and guided me through this entire process. I’m also so excited for Journey Equestrian to be part of something even bigger—a community where our riders can continue to learn, grow, and find their place in the horse world.

The name is new. The heart behind it isn’t. 💚
