The Hoof and Paw Benevolent Society is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization dedicated to helping protect, comfort and improve the lives of shelter animals in South Carolina. We strive to increase awareness of our cause, support adoptions, encourage spay/neuter and promote education to the general public about responsible pet ownership. The organization is run by animal-lovers, and we are always seeking new members to join us. We would love to have young members especially to volunteer at events. We want to give a shoutout to Anderson County Sheriff's Office SC for working at least four felony level Ill Treatment cases in the last month alone. This is the most recent case. We are so thankful for their commitment to working and charging these cases appropriately so we can - hopefully - deter future abuse or neglect. We are incredibly excited to report we raised OVER $20,000 with our Tails on Trails 5k! This would NOT be possible without our amazing sponsors, participants, vendors, Strictly Running, and volunteers. Each of you have positively impacted animals in need in South Carolina, and we are so grateful.

Our funding goes to support medical cases in our local shelters and rescues, fund spay/neuter surgeries to control the pet population, treat heartworms for shelter bound animals, and to support seniors keeping companion pets in their homes. Because of YOU, more animals can be helped!

We are LESS THAN 24 hours away from our Tails on Trails 5k walk/run. We are so excited to see over 100 walkers / runners make their way to The Farm at Ridgeway to spend the afternoon exploring their picturesque campus while raising money for a great cause!

We are so thankful to all of our sponsors, vendors, participants, and to The Farm at Ridgeway for all of your generous support. We are so thankful to have our first ever 5k walk/run in such a gorgeous setting. Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

🐾 Gates open at 1230pm
🐾 Leashed dogs welcome at the property but not on the course.
🐾 Race starts at 2pm
🐾 Medals awarded to the overall top 3 finishers and to the top 3 finishers in each age group

We would like to thank Big Time Entertainment and Ravenlouise.designs for supporting our upcoming 5k run/walk.

We are so excited to have Big Time Entertainment lined up to bring the energy and create the soundtrack for our Tails on Trails 5k at The Farm at Ridgeway!

We are also very thankful to Raven Louise Designs for designing the adorable graphic we have displayed on our race merch and advertisements. Race participants who met the t-shirt deadline are guaranteed to take the adorable graphic home on their race shirt!

✨ Medical Cases✨

While we have been busy promoting our upcoming 5k, we have also been busy helping animals in need! Here are some of our recent donations:

✨Journey Home Rescue Alliance needed support getting heartworm treatment for a group of pups in their care.

✨ The Bridge Between Animal Rescue needed help getting several pups spayed / neutered.

✨ PETSinc pulled two pups from the Jasper County Animal Shelter who were heartworm positive and they needed financial support for their heartworm treatment.

✨ Hasty’s Haven took in a severely neglect donkey from a case in Darlington County. The poor donkey needs a lot of medical and farrier care. We are providing financial support for his care.

We are so thankful to all of YOU who make it possible to provide financial support to these sweet animals.
