Just a friendly reminder: I do NOT express a**l glands at Pretty Paws.
A**l gland expression is something I personally leave to your dog’s veterinary professional. Especially when there is any concern about impaction, infection, swelling, discomfort, scooting, licking, or an unusual odor.
As a groomer, I stay within my scope of practice, and anything involving internal expression is something I believe is best handled by a veterinarian. 🐾
If you suspect your pup is having a**l gland issues, please contact your vet so they can properly assess what’s going on and treat it if necessary. 🩷
