So.... We actually did it.

ANTHONY E SEIDEL is being indited for Recklesss Homicide.
He's being held without bond.
Mugshot incoming of course.

Joseph Green told the McLean County Justice Committee his fiancée, Brooke Powell, was killed in a Feb. 11 crash and that family members were not contacted during prosecution; Green said the other driver received a $1,000 fine and the case was later reopened.

Just another update for everyone. But it’s not news you may want to hear so I’ll make it short.

I had a discussion with the District Attorney today. We have been waiting on the toxicology from the hospital finally. And all they found was what they used at the hospital to unfortunately save that man’s life. Since they found nothing in his system that was… illegal they can’t bring on any additional charges.
This means he’ll only be guilty of improper lane usage and have to pay a 1000 dollar fine. But that’s it.

Why is this you ask? We don’t have vehicular homicide in this state.
I repeat. We don’t it in Illinois. We just don’t. I don’t care what you heard we don’t have that in particular. You can still have reckless homicide, and we’re looking into it because, what the hell you know. Gotta have something. Anything.

Karma comes for us all. He’s never gonna walk again and live the rest of his days in pain, yeah I know it’s not enough but that’s all we have for now.

But, I’m working still on everything. I could go into not having faith in the system right now but that’s for another day. But there’s this, the law doesn’t work the same for everyone and that’s clearly the case today. All I can say is write your state reps on up. I’m sure we’re not the first people affected by this and I just want to make sure we’re the last.

Court happened again...
And the other party didn't show up
So they're guilty of at LEAST the umproper lane usage and will have their drivers licence suspended.
And the cause for delay is just for the other parties medical records for... reasons. So if any more charges come from that those will be tacked on.

But this also denies the chance for any victims to say their piece unless more charges get added on, and we have to wait for my red tape to get that done. Which is are cowardly as it gets but let's be real, if we were all pieces of garbage we'd do the same.

Civil suit is going, shoot, it might be done before this is.

Once all the dust settles from all the things happening (case is still ongoing, but we should hear some things soon) I intend to get all of her lessons plans together, I figure they could be of a lot of use to people. -Joe
