CherryHill Training Center is set on an 80 acre farm we offer a variety of obedience classes, board and trains, as well as stockdog training on our herd of 30 hair sheep.

One of our favorite services we offer: litter instinct assessments. How could you not be excited to wake up to this job?!

This litter of English Shepherds came to us twice for assessment. Thoughtfully bred and beautifully raised pups with wonderful parents, they showed a lot of promise across the board. These dogs are absolutely going to make their future owners proud.

The Herding Circuit Clinic on November 15 & 16 was a huge success! We welcomed 18 dogs from a variety of breeds, including Border Collies, Kelpies, Aussies, English Shepherds, Belgian Tervurens and Collies. Every team came ready to work and made real progress toward their individual goals.

Handlers and dogs rotated through each station throughout the day, receiving clear instruction while also having time to work independently and build confidence. We covered a wide range of skills and foundations, all while staying warm and out of the snow.

We worked on:
• Clean flanks
• Settling
• Driving
• Pressure
• Chore work
• Trial skills
• Chute and guillotine work
• Working a single
• Working with distractions
• Packed pen
• Stall work
• Penning
• And more

Junior Handler Spotlight: Everett 🌟
November 22-23rd in Virginia. Everett truly shined at his debut competition, and he deserves a moment all his own.

Over the course of the weekend, Everett completed 12 total runs with his two dogs, Elle and Baxter, in sheep, ducks, and cattle. That alone is a huge accomplishment!

Everett worked incredibly hard leading up to this trial, putting in the time and effort to prepare himself and his dogs to truly showcase what they are capable of. At the end of each run he asked me what he can do differently next run, and we talked about what he did well. He learned a lot about his dogs and he got better and better each run showing up for them in the way each needed that run.

He had constant and very nice runs with tons of compliments from fellow competitors and the judges. He received a PERFECT SCORE for his impressively handled sheep run! And HIGH SCORING JUNIOR!
Elle is one of my bred by dogs so watching Everett and her developing as a trial team was a particular highlight for me!

Watch out for Everett and his dogs on the trial field…. He won’t be in juniors for much longer than he’s coming for you!

He’s an inspiration to us all and I’m so privileged to mentor him!

A foggy but successful weekend for some of our client dogs and good training experiences for our board and train girlies 🏅
Teddy earned his HSAd title with two second places and on Sunday was one of only 2 of 7 dogs to qualify. This title completed his breeders Hall of Fame requirements so congratulations to them, we are happy to be apart of the journey.
Travis was a good collie and earned his HT title ❤️
