This poor girl has terrible skin allergies. Being yellow and living in South Georgia is not in her favor. Im talking rub her tail and mane out, lay down and rub her belly, rubs her ears… it’s pitiful! I have tried everything topical, supplements of every kind, and spent more money trying to save money. None of it has worked.

Yesterday was her first session. I just opened up the energy pathways in her body. After 1 session she was less itchy. For the first time when I brought her in this morning it did not look like she spent the entire night rubbing her tail on the fence or whatever she can find. I have not seen her rub her tail, mane, or ears since she has been in her stall today. After only one session!

So today, I am targeting points specific to skin and itching. Tomorrow, I will follow up with a systemic (full body). I am very hopeful she can be more comfortable, and finally grow her mane and tail out; in this South Georgia weather.

I usually talk about how I prefer to do 3 consecutive sessions with the equiscope because each session builds on the last with the third being a systemic. Single sessions can be useful too.

I use single sessions in my horse’s maintenance frequently. It relieves pain and inflammation. It also normalizes and relaxes tissue to its natural electrical state so the body can heal itself.

I know what is normal for my horse, and I can tell when something is “off” on the equiscope before I can see it in how he moves. This way I can address the minor things before they become a major setback.

Doing a bilateral spinal (modified here) opens up the entire body to the energy flow. We can pinpoint problem areas for the individual horse. Each point down the spine is connected to an area of the horse’s body. Depending on the reaction and how the machine reads we can target specific areas that may be an issue for the horse. This particular time the equiscope told me what I already knew, which is always helpful too!

Let’s talk timing

When is the best time to use the equiscope on your horse?

If they have sustained an injury, sooner is better. I would rather not let the body have time to build up scar tissue that the equiscope has to take time to break down. Let’s go ahead and start the healing process. Put the body in healing mode instead of defense mode asap 👌🏼

If you are prepping for an event, I like to do 3 sessions one to two weeks before the event.

While working on your horse they become very relaxed and stay that way for hours after. This is great for the body to make repairs and rejuvenate. This is not great when you are expecting your horse to go perform. They need time to rest after a session.
The next day they will feel rested and good. This is when you notice pain and inflammation has decreased.
Cellular change can occur for up to 30 days.. so ideally I like to work on my horse the week or two before a large event.
Not to say I will not work on them away from home, but it needs to be timed correctly. They need to have plenty of water, time to rest, and you need to be aware of their reactions to the equiscope prior. Ideally, your session would be done after they are done for the day and have time to rest for the next day.
The equiscope is a great tool when used correctly. The equiscope paired with a consistent exercise program will have your horses feeling their best going into your event.

Luck is when preparation meets opportunity 🦄
