We have had back to back 4 deaths in our family on different sides. Shane Wilson and I have not had a moment to give our condolences to family members and those that lost their lives in the Miami building collapse. Surfside is a beautiful area, we know it well. We were thinking about our 1st trip to Miami together and how overwhelming Miami, Boca Rotan, and Fort Lauderdale is in an amazing way and all it's beauty. We have the best memories from the ever glades, to the beaches, and the nightlife. Our hearts are broken for the people of the southern coastal areas. Miami people are strong and resilient. Our prayers are with everyone we know in the surrounding communities, as well as the entire city. This is horrific. We have 2 dogs down there on a search and rescue team, which came from Bear & Maya 1st liter and we are praying their handlers are able to be a part of recovery for the city. To our knowledge, we do not know if they have been called in to assist, but we are trying to find out. Please be in prayer over every dog on site be able to lead to the recovery of those waiting to be found, all our love.

We are going to be taking up supplies to take to the Commander center at the church for those hit by the tornados in Roebuck Springs, Roebuck Plaza, and Roebuck areas. The plaza area has been hit hard. Anyone is welcome to drop off items themselves or message us and we will come get it. We will try and help Ohatchee next, they have major devastation.

The other areas across Alabama have more help with donation, so this is why we have chosen these 2 areas to help.

We made a trip to Centerpoint & Fultondale today and met with the Mayor and city officials today for an updated list of their needs. We were able to take a good bit of supplies and food. UPDATED LIST-Centerpoint has plenty of water. They are need of garbadge bags, mask, tarps, latex gloves, blankets, shoes, clothes, food, and totes desperately. Fultondale is in need of gas cans, gas, tarps, totes, clothes, food, deodorant,
Shampoo, soap, cleaning products, bacterial wipes, and volunteers for clean up. We will be making another trip Friday to both locations if anyone would like to help. We can come pick items up, if we need to. They have nowhere near what they need. Centerpoint needs food badly. It broke my heart in the city building in Fultondale, as I stood behind the news, waitng to meet with officials, and a family came in looking for shelter from the rain because all the hotels were full and they lost their entire home. It is devastating. Below is a list of numbers and contacts provided to me for those willing to help clean up in Fultondale. They are assembling teams.
Randy Posey-205-283-7537 crews
Volunteers go to Gardendale Civic Center
Fire Department-205-607-7068 Brad Cantrell
Please HELP.

For anyone wanting to participate. We will be taking supplies over to Fultondale Community Center tomorrow. They are in need for the following items: bottled water, tarps, and work gloves. Our foundation will also be taking donated items at 9am tomorrow. I will try to find out other items in high demand for these families. You are welcome to drop off to me or my mother to take these items to the Fultondale Community Center. It is going to rain again, so the tarps are a great need.

Gizmo & I made a trip to our local humane society to pay tribute to them with collegiate mask we made for all the loving care and hard work they have been doing to supply the citizens of Birmingham with pet food, treats, and an assortment of other things they have on hand, as donations come in,during the covid19 pandemic. They have greatly helped our foundation with our service dogs and we are working with them to find a poodle hybrid dog in need for training for someone that has allergies and is in need of a service dog for diabetes, aiding in detection of high and low glucose levels. If you are in the Birmingham area, I hope you lend a hand to them if you are looking for something legitimate to donate or help out. These guys are making sure animals are being fed and cared for properly during a time many can't afford to keep up. We are honored truly to help in anyway we can continue to support this great mission and we are thankful for the assistance they have shown to our service dogs and our mission to help others. May they be truly blessed.

GIZMO update: Trip to Auburn yesterday with our 1st Auburn shirt!! Gizmo had his cone & sutures removed. He is placing weight on his leg with 90 percent walking movement. We have a custom brace coming. We are moving toward physical therapy. He loves his entire care team. He loves Auburn. We love AUBURN & what they do. I am amazed every visit. Next trip we are making a visit to the raptor center to see the eagles. Today,we share photos of one of the vet students on his care team. War Eagle.

We were released to come home today with a recheck in 2 weeks. He is totally in love with his surgeon. He quickly snouted her the minute she came in the room,as if to tell us she helped me momma. Dr. Kayla Corriveau loves him to pieces also. She has gone above & beyond for this baby. He is going to have quiet a story to tell in his testimony in the future when he gets back to inneracting with the public. We are healing on schedule so far. Gonna be a bumpy 12 week ride in rehab. We need prayer for no infections & for a slight amount of rotation to resolve on the inside of the meniscus area. Hopeful with scar tissue formation & his knee brace coming,he will recover without complications. I can't even find a word that is worthy enough to describe what this doctor means to us & has done for Gizzy. All the glory to God,it is all I can give him,our praise & love, for blessing us with the Auburn University Veterinarian School. We had the best burger I've ever eaten at a place called,Shelias Burger Barn...if you at campus ever, you gotta go,trust me! Gizmo,my,"Chocolate Care Bear",I call him. (He achieved this little nick name his 1st year in obedience training before service training, because he always went up to people in emotional or physical pain no matter where we would go.) Truly remarkable & intutative canine to all.

Gizmo is out of surgery. He just made his way to recovery, where he will spend the remainder of the night. The surgery went perfectly without any complications.
Dr. Kayla Corriveau was able to repair all torn ligaments, flip his bone, and put in an implant where the cranial acl ruptured. Gizzy will spend 2 days for sure in the hospital. He will have full restoration of activity when he is healed. We have a long 12 weeks of rehab and therapy. I am at a loss for words to even be able to begin to describe how Auburn has gone above and beyond for Gizmo. Dr. Kayla is one of the most compassionate, brilliant, and amazing people I've ever met. Everytime I get to look down and see Gizmo work or bring joy to me and others,I will always see her beautiful heart and face knowing she is the reason he did not lose his leg to amputation. God has blessed us in a mighty way through Auburn University Veterinarian Teaching hospital and the hands of Dr. Kayla Corriveau. ALL THE GLORY TO GOD! Below is a picture of this beautiful human being. I am PROUD to be a new AUBURN FAN,which will support this college in every way I'm capable. War Eagle Aurea! I can't wait to put Gizmo Auburn Jersey on. They gave us our life back. Quality of life to be independent and to continue to touch others. Please pray for NO infections during healing. Thank you.

UPDATE: Gizmo was took back at 7:30am to get prepared for surgery. His procedure will be starting at 12, the 2nd operation today. He will be placed in recovery all evening after surgery. We will not be permitted to see him tonight, yet we are NOT leaving him. We are on campus. They will have someone sitting with him throughout recovery. Vet students sit with their patients. A friend of ours,Jeff & Denise Crowe's daughter, Bre is a veterinarian student here at Auburn. She will be able to go see him in recovery. God has covered every need I could ask for, before I got the chance to ask for it in prayer, not knowing I wouldn't be able to touch my little working man tonight. Most likely,he will be staying in the hospital for 2 days, maybe through the weekend. It depends on Gizmo when he tells them he's ready to be released. He knew the doctor was going to fix his leg,he was ready. He knew exactly what was up. Gizmo Bear went in willingly with no problem, course me in tow behind him. Thank you for the faithful prayers. He has been given to the BEST of hands with the finest Auburn has to offer.
Dr. Kayla Corriveau,Orthopedic Surgeon and professor. We met the entire surgical team and caregivers, along with students, involved in his procedural care. Auburn University Vetanarian School is the best vetanarian teaching school in the United States. Our lives will be forever impacted by the people here. It is a blessing to have been sent here from our friend Dr. Tommy Johnson, one our vetanarian doctors of Argo Animal Clinic for over 20 years. It is a gift to be here.
Dr. Johnson is a graduate of Auburn and his children are current students as well.

Update: We aren't feeling well this morning. Please pray for all 3 of us today. Shane is in radiation as we speak, then off to Auburn we go with Gizmo. We are supposed to get my results from the right kidney as well today. Unfortunately,I've caught a cold even tho, I wear a mask everywhere & I now have fever, not sure what this means for my immune system at this point. Gizmo is in pain this morning from the rain. Each day it rains,it makes him uncomfortable. These are the only days we see him show emotion from pain. Thank you to everyone for your help, prayers, sharing the fundraiser for us,for donating to help us,for loving us, & for having faith with us. All my love.
