UPDATE: Congratulations to Natalia Nicker and her Malinois Kinna for being chosen to play the Alley Dog in the upcoming movie.

Thanks to all who submitted and shared. I know it was hard for the Director to choose from among all the lovely submissions. Keep up the great training!

OPEN CASTING CALL for ALLEY DOG: open to all breeds and mixes, medium to large dogs

The SKILLS are the most important and include:
* BARKING on command, from a STAND, at a DISTANCE.
* a SLOW WALK, or creep, as if walking cautiously towards a stranger, or "stalking"; also needs to be on cue.
* a reliable RECALL.
* dog must be super comfortable in loud/busy environments with lots of people and must not be aggressive.

The LOOK could be anything non-white. Naturally scruffy and homeless looking is a plus, but I do have "movie dirt" for the shoot. Medium to large dogs, any gender.

LOCATION/DATES: This is for one scene, which is scheduled to shoot the night of May 24 in NATCHEZ, MS. Hotel will be provided for 23rd and 24th in addition as well as a day player stipend and movie credit.

If you are available those dates and would like to have some fun on a movie set, please SUBMIT a short video of the BARKING and a STEP-UP or WALK-UP with your dog's name via Private Message or email to [email protected].

Feel free to forward and cross-post.

ATTENTION DOG TRAINER FRIENDS!

I am looking for a non-white Pit / Pit Mix / AmStaff for FEATURE MOVIE SHOOT coming up fast: two weeks actually, currently scheduled May 24 in Natchez, MS.

I will be driving from Birmingham, AL the day before and returning home the day after, so dog and/or owner can come w me or join me there. I might want two- one for backup.

SKILLS: Dog can NOT *be* aggressive to people but needs to look/act aggressive, barking "aggressively" but then allow actor to approach kindly, take offering of food and then come when called away from actor.

If you have an appropriate dog and would like to see your dog on the big screen and would like to join me on set in Natchez, let me know! You can post here if you want or PM or email me @MindBenderz.com.

I'd like to see a video of your dog barking "aggressively", you can post here or send privately or send me a YouTube link.

Big movie sets are busy, with lots of people with equipment, so the ideal dog would be very comfortable with loud and strange environments. Dog sport handlers are encouraged to apply!

Come play with me, make some
movie magic. You will have the *most* fun and will cherish that memory forever. Make it quick though! 😬

(ps: if you cannot come but have a dog I can use, that could work, in which case I will be looking for an additional trainer/handler.)
