As your cat ages, their testicles form and will gradually descend to their sc***um, the sac of skin designed to hold and protect them. This process of the testicles moving down into the sc***um occurs between 3 to 6 weeks of age.

Kittens that are neutered between the ages of 8 weeks to 6 months will have fewer postoperative complications due to the size and development of the reproductive organs.

Recovery times will be shorter, and cats will have a lower chance of displaying secondary hormone behaviors that occur around 5-6 months of age, such as:

Spraying

Marking

Attempting to escape for mating

Vocalizing

Fighting with others

The end of the month is almost here! Please don't forget to donate your dollar! Every single dollar counts... Really!!

What can $1.00 really do? By itself, it may not seem like much.
But when hundreds of animal lovers come together, $1.00 becomes full bowls, clean litter boxes, medication, emergency supplies and a safe place for another frightened cat to land.
This week alone, we took in 5 bottle babies, continued care at a colony location that we are working on, stocked supplies, cared for our 40+ fosters and kept responding when cats/people needed help.
Lava's receives no government funding. Rescue happens here because ordinary people decide that even a small gift can matter.
For $1.00 a month, you can become a member of the Dollar a Month Club and help us keep saying “YES.”
One person giving a little may feel small. A community giving a little changes everything.

Still looking for a few more people. Especially Tuesday and Wednesday night games.
