Okay folks, this looks like it might be it - tomorrow (Saturday Aug 29) is likely going to be our last to open for u-pick for the season.
I can't believe it's winding down - it feels like we're just getting started!
So - we decided to go out with a bang! All of the fruit and berries on the farm (except cherries, the few apples we have out there, and sea buckthorn) are $5/lb. That means all honeyberries (yes, there are still a few out there), saskatoons, currants, and raspberries are only $5/lb.
Let's clear out the field and get food in your freezer!
Also happening this weekend:
FREE CLASSES: (Sign up to save your spot here: https://www.tixtree.com/e/market-classes-aug-29-4fcabab656d0 )
Noon and 3 pm: Simple Sourdough
1 and 4 pm: Basics of Canning
FARMSTAND:
TONS of Alaska grown produce plus some of the best peaches you'll ever eat. These elbertas are incredible - you do not want to miss them!
VENDORS:
Our vendors are some of my favorite in the whole state - be sure to check out their booths before the season ends.
LUNCH: Plus, we're serving lunch! Choose from a burger or some mosquito mama chicken and a dollop of homemade potato salad. The potatoes will be dug first thing in the morning and the eggs are fresh from our hens. I make potato salad the way my mama does - although mine will never be as good as hers, it's pretty darned close!
