Meet Apex! Apex works at the Berlin, NH Police Department. Like all officers, Apex is exposed to danger in the line of duty and really needs a vest. We are taking donations to help with this purchase over our next few events. Thanks to everyone who made a generous donation today.

K9 Apex is a three year old Belgian Malinois and is Berlin, NH Police Department’s (BPD) second ever police K9. He is currently the only patrol certified K9 in Coos County covering 1,830 square miles. In 2026 alone he has located over 5 ounces of methamphetamine along with numerous smaller finds, and he has been instrumental in the safe apprehension of 13 suspects.
