Got the dogs a little more accustomed to the spring weather today, 75 seemed pretty warm for them after only seeing temps in the 50s.

Took advantage of the nice weather the last couple weekends and got the dogs out to get some work done!
Joey and Alice were the lucky ones to get their pictures taken.

Training young dogs can be a lot of things, but on this day it was very entertaining to say the least. Logan took that glove on his collar from his first find to his next find several minutes later…looks like I’m starting to get a handle on him 😂

Well our last trial of the year has come and gone. We had some good results with 2 of the dogs getting wins.
Trick (Patriot’s Hat Trick) got his first ever win in the Amateur Walking Puppy! Mackenzie Maidl (Trick’s mom) was able to attend her first field trial and got to watch Trick’s winning run, she is planning on being ready to run him herself in his next field trial.
Revy also picked up a win in the 25 dog Amateur Gun Dog stake on Saturday! If we would’ve had better weather we would have a win picture of her too, but the cold and rainy weekend made a tough environment for pictures.
Thanks to everyone at the GSPC of Central Iowa for a great, smooth trial. Special thanks to Jeff Wallace for doing a great job as always, Keith Thompson for running the dog wagon, and all of our judges who put time in the saddle on a tough weather weekend.

It was a great weekend for the Patriot Crew at the GSPC of Central Iowa/Vizsla Club of Eastern Iowa walking trial this weekend.
Tommy (Patriot’s Pinball Wizard) had a great showing in the puppy stakes both days, winning each stake with runs showing some powerful potential at just a couple days under 7 months old. Tom also came away with a 4th in the derby on Saturday, he out ran me a little too much on Sunday and finished the course before I could catch up to him on foot.
Trick (Patriot’s Hat Trick) made his field trial debut this weekend and showed up with a 2nd in the puppy on Saturday, 3rd on Sunday, and 3rd in the derby on both days. Huge thanks to Mackenzie Maidl for trusting me to bring him out for the weekend!
Logan (Patriot’s Weapon-X) had a phenomenal showing on Saturday, picking up 3rd in the 28 dog Amateur Gun Dog stake. He showed some of his power and had 2 very nice broke finds in just his second broke dog stake.
Hattie (Patriot’s Mad Hatter) couldn’t let the boys have all the fun, getting 2nd in the 25 dog Open Gun Dog stake on Sunday. She had 3 nice finds and ran a very nice course. It was great seeing Hattie and both of her boys get placements and have great showings all together at the same trial.
Thanks to the judges for their time in the saddle all weekend: Rodney Albin, Dan Tang, Bruce Bryant, John Holcomb, Brent Hoehns, and Matt Miller. Also, great job to Jeff Wallace for running a smooth trial with a lot of dogs.

Tommy (Patriot’s Pinball Wizard) got on the board at his first trial at the GSPC of Nebraska trial. At just a few days over 6 months old he was the youngest puppy running by a wide margin.
The puppy stake was his first introduction to horses and he received a participation ribbon for that effort. He did much better in the derby, after using the puppy as his trial run, scoring a 2nd place.
Thanks so much to Jan & Bob Erbe for all the work they do putting on these trials, they do a phenomenal job keeping everything running smoothly. Thanks to all the judges for their time in the saddle.
