Just because you work night shift doesn’t mean you should miss out on the fun! 🌙🐾

We were happy to bring the animals to some hardworking night shift nurses, doctors, support staff. While most of us were winding down for the evening, the animals were wide awake, active, and loving the cooler nighttime temperatures.

Thank you to all the night shift heroes who keep things running while the rest of the world sleeps! 💙✨

Our exciting new species born this week is a ring-tailed lemur! We have loved watching mom, Ginny, bond with her baby over the past few days. ❤️

The little one won’t have a name for quite some time, as we’re not yet able to determine its s*x. For now, we’re simply enjoying every moment of watching it grow and thrive.

We are incredibly excited to continue growing our troop of ring-tailed lemurs. As an endangered species, they face many challenges in the wild, and we are happy to be a small part of the conservation efforts that help protect these amazing animals for future generations.

Welcome to the world, little lemur! 🐒🖤🤍

One of the most common questions we get at mobile events is, “Do the llamas and alpacas spit?”—usually 20+ times per event! 😂

We often have guests tell us they’ve been spit on, and we just chuckle and say, “Trust us, you would know if you were actually spit on!”

Most of the time, what people experience is a sneeze. Since llamas and alpacas are camelids and primarily breathe through their noses, they occasionally need to clear their airways while eating grain. The dust from the feed can make them sneeze, and a few tiny pieces of grain may go flying.

Actual spitting is a different story! Camelids typically reserve that behavior for other camelids when they’re arguing over food, establishing pecking order, or expressing their displeasure. It’s not something they normally do to people.

So if you feel a little grain dust land on you during feeding time, congratulations—you’ve probably just been sneezed on, not spit on! 🤧🦙💕
