Elvira is very pleased to hear about everypawdy who donated blood and got her badge (seriously, thank you!!) ✨ She hopes all that blood will end up at her door any day now.

While we’re on the topic, did you know pets use donated blood, too?! 🩸 We didn’t until kinda recent! If you have a chill pet who doesn't mind a vet visit, they might be a purrfect candidate for blood donation 🕺

Not only does it help save the lives of other animals in critical situations, but lots of places offer benefits like free annual lab blood work for donor pets, free exams, and if (god furbid) your pet is ever in that kind of emergency, they may get complimentary transfusions! Maintaining your own pal’s health by saving another. Neeto.

The folks at are experiencing a blood shortage right now if anyone’s interested in helping out! You can head to their website to check if your pal might be eligible ❤️

Not in Seattle? There are tons of places that need donors! It’s worth a Google to find out where you can find pet blood banks near you. You and your best bud might get to save someone else’s best bud when it matters most 😭

The Hisstress blesses you for bleeding 🙏

Your October Cat of the Month is… Elvira: Hisstress of the Dark 🐈‍⬛

IT’S ELVIRA SEASON and it is unwise to go alone.

She hath returned 😈 Late last night as the winds changed in the Seattle cat room (could’ve been the AC but don’t be pedantic like that), Elvira started her metamorphosis into her most powerful form 🎃 Now, we must spend the rest of the month appeasing The Hisstress to avoid a frightful fate befalling us all 🙏

The Hisstress has ONCE AGAIN given us her favor in the form of her Cat of the Month Purrtection Pin 🙌 This token may serve to mark her most loyal followers, giving its owner a modicum of purrtection against her less benevolent whims ✨

For reasons yet unknown to us, her cauldron-forged pin emerged with images of Elvira being beamed into some sort of Unidentified Feline Object (UFO) 🛸 Alongside it is her broom, her crown, and an ear of corn (which we have to assume is incidental from a crop circle situation??) 🌽

Elvira’s Purrtection Pin, as well as her Ultimate Purrtection Pack (featuring her pin, her soul-cleansing soap, and her Hisstress of the Dark sticker) are all available online + in-house meow ⚔️ All those who wish to gain the High Hisstress’ favor may also pet her mystic fluff in Seattle ☔️

May the Hisstress have mercy on your soul 🖤
