Taking a minute to hang out with the mom of the baby cave centipedes we posted a few weeks ago. This species is probably my favorite invert that I've ever kept.

Let's talk about a really neat insect that I never hear about! These are black webspinners, a small but fascinating species to keep! They have a little bulb at the end of their front legs that is used to produce and spin silk to build little covered paths to and from food sources. They're pretty much completely defenseless so the silk tubes are their safe haven. I keep them in with pie dish beetles on a substrate of mostly sand with a little topsoil mixed in.

Every time I add dog food or veggie scraps they start construction on new tubes to get to the food sources, it's really cool to see!!

I have these available currently, plus some on isopodkeepers.com and will have them at the Hillsboro reptile expo as well ๐Ÿ˜Š

Took a second while packing for the Spokane reptile expo to snag a picture of this gorgeous Filipinodillo sp. Lapu. We got these a few months ago from Mikes Bug Box and they've already had a few litters of babies.

Might be the prettiest Filipinodillo species in my opinion.
