Some therapy animals leave paw prints on our hearts that last a lifetime. ❤️🐾

Today, we're celebrating Lucky, a beloved Pet Partners therapy dog who brought comfort and joy to others alongside his volunteer, Lorry.

Lucky began visiting with Lorry in 2017. He especially loved spending time with children and older adults in memory care. Lorry recalls how residents would remember Lucky when he came to visit, even when other memories were difficult to recall.

Lucky also shared special moments with people nearing the end of their lives, offering gentle kisses and a comforting presence when it mattered most.

When you volunteer with Pet Partners, you’re never on this journey alone.

Our handlers give so much to their communities, and we believe in giving back to them, too. One way we do that is through our Cancer Care Fund, which provides financial assistance if a therapy animal in our program is diagnosed with cancer.

Just ask Jake’s handler, Lynn. Jake spent eight incredible years visiting nursing homes, hospitals, schools, and more. When he faced cancer, the Cancer Care Fund helped Lynn cover the cost of his care, bringing peace of mind during a challenging time.
