My sweet Tortie was one of the most well mannered cats I have ever seen. She grew up on the streets, but after only a few weeks she allowed me to put her in a carrier to get spayed, first try, no cat wrestling! After her injury, I bathed her daily and she never so much as raised a paw at me. She took to walking on a leash outside perfectly, like she had been doing it her whole life! She wore diapers daily and changing her was easy. I even trimmed her claws and she just sat there perfectly while I did her manicure.
Every single day she woke up happy, no matter how bad she felt. Polly’s World took such good care of her.

Please help other cats avoid a life like Tortie. Spay and neuter your pets, ESPECIALLY your outside animals. TNR the strays in your community if you are able to. Donate to rescues. It’s everyone’s responsibility!

If you are feeding a male cat, please do not wait to have him neutered. Every second he is out there is a HUGE risk. Unneutered male cats fight. I don't care how sweet you think he is. All of them fight - it's their nature. And it's the way the most severe feline diseases are spread. You can prevent this before it happens! And, you can prevent a lot of new kittens being born outside to suffer in the harsh environment.

Don't wait for him to show up injured!
Don't wait for the weather to get warmer.
Don't wait because "he can't have kittens".
Don't wait because "you'll do it later".
Don't wait to earn his trust.
Don't wait for him to contract deadly diseases.

Don't wait.

I’ve been trying for 2 months now, still no luck!

Looking for GOOD homes for 4 adult strays that I cared for for over a year before I had to unexpectedly move out of my house.
3 males and 1 female (the solid grey one is the female)

They all know their names so I would prefer if they kept them! ALL LITTERBOX TRAINED! They slept in my laundry room during bad weather and wintertime, never had accidents

1. Eve, black and white, fixed
about 8-10 years old. His name is Eve because I thought he was a girl for a while but turns out he’s not and he already knew his name by then. BIG cuddler, sleeps all day, loves to lay pretty much anywhere and take a nap.

2. Ave, black and white, male, fixed
About 2-3 years old, friendly and sassy, very fluffy, best friends with Bahgeera (grey female)

3. Bahgeera, solid grey, female, fixed
About 2-3 years old
Very independent but very sweet. Has a high prey drive and high energy level, best friends with Ave

4. Geeves, white and orange, male, fixed
About 2-3 years old
Very sweet, BIG TIME cuddler, but very skittish. He’s okay with other cats if he gets to know them but does not like hyper dogs or children, he’s not aggressive towards them just very scared. He was my baby boy, literally lets me hold him like a baby and rock him to sleep

I’m devastated I can’t take them with me as I already have the apartment limit of pets. I got many cats on my old street fixed (about 12) but these were really special to me and I can’t bear to just abandon them.
Please, if you’re looking for a cat consider saving one of them!

Pet Poison Awareness Week: Day 7 – Pesticides & Rodenticides 🚫

Pesticides are common in and around homes — but what keeps pests away can be extremely dangerous to pets. Rodenticides (rat poisons), in particular, are among the most lethal substances your pet can ingest.

Bromethalin is a neurotoxic rodenticide that causes brain swelling, leading to tremors, seizures, paralysis, and often death. There is no antidote, and symptoms can appear within hours or be delayed up to a day.

Not all rat poisons work the same way. Some, like brodifacoum or warfarin, are anticoagulants, which interfere with blood clotting and cause internal bleeding. Bromethalin is not one of these — it targets the brain and nervous system instead. Both are deadly, but require different treatments, which is why quick identification is critical.

Signs of rodenticide or pesticide poisoning include:
• Vomiting
• Tremors or seizures
• Weakness or loss of coordination
• Lethargy or collapse
• Difficulty breathing
• Paralysis (in severe cases)

What to do:
If your pet has ingested or been exposed to any pesticide or rodent bait, call your vet or a pet poison hotline right away. Time matters — don’t wait for symptoms.

In some situations, you may be told to induce vomiting at home. For that reason, it’s a good idea to keep 3% hydrogen peroxide in your emergency kit. However, only use it if instructed by a vet or poison expert, who will guide you through the proper dosage and method. If used incorrectly, it can cause more harm than good.

Choose pet-safe pest control alternatives whenever possible, and always keep toxic products securely stored. 🐾
