My mama always used to tell me that the older I got, the faster time would fly and man, was she right!
This year has absolutely flown by, and as we head into the last few months of 2026, I can’t help but reflect on how thankful I am for every family who has trusted me with their precious children and fur babies. Getting to love and care for them is something I’ll never take for granted. 🤎
When I moved to Southeast Texas in 2020, right in the middle of COVID, I had no idea if the type of childcare I had provided back home would even be something families here needed. I just knew I loved what I did, so I prayed for perseverance and kept going.
There were slow seasons when I questioned whether this could ever become what I hoped it would. There were weeks that I wondered if I needed to go a different path.
But along the way, I realized there was a real need in our community for flexible, occasional and part-time childcare — care that allowed children to stay comfortable in their own homes while giving parents another trusted option when they needed an extra set of hands.
And in 2023, The SETX Sitter was officially born. 🤎
Now, three years later, this little business has grown into something I couldn’t have imagined when I first moved here.
Thank you to every family who has booked me, recommended me, shared one of my posts, left a review, or simply cheered me on along the way.
Here’s to the “ber” months, new beginnings, and seeing just how much can change when you keep going. 🌻🍂🤎
