Most aggressive watermelon eating I’ve ever seen! Maverick kept splashing juice at Hazel, lol. He is working so hard, and each day is a step or two forward and a step back. But we’re doing everything we can for our buddy! Including fresh watermelon 😂

My buddy Maverick suddenly developed Wry Neck this week, poor guy. Wry neck can happen in people and animals, and is a loss of control of the neck muscles. It is due to either a vitamin deficiency, or an injury. So, we’ve been giving Vitamin E and Selenium gel three times a day, along with hand feeding him to make sure he gets enough food/water.

Luckily I am home for the next week, so hoping we can get him turned around and on the mend! He really enjoyed a field trip out to the garden today. You can see he holds his head at a bit of an angle, and this was really hard work for him…but he went back to his brooder and is having a rest now :-)

Wando Peas are growing well! We’ll see how the yield is, but these might be a permanent variety in the garden!

Last day of school for the kids and I was today, so looking forward to spending more time with these buddies as they get ready to go outside soon!
