🐾 It's National Walk Your Dog Week, and I need to share something that might surprise you:
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐠 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝟏𝟓 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐱𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐚𝐲.
Let that sink in for a moment.
Fifteen minutes.
That's less time than most of us spend scrolling our phones before bed.
As both a dog walker and holistic pet health coach, I see the ripple effects of this daily: anxiety that manifests as destructive behavior, weight gain that strains joints, pent-up energy that disrupts sleep, and a general restlessness that affects the entire household.
Our dogs are descendants of wolves who once traveled 30+ miles a day. While they've evolved alongside us, their bodies and minds still crave movement, exploration, and the mental enrichment that comes from sniffing new scents and navigating their world.
Here's the beautiful part: 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.
Even adding 2-3 professional walks per week creates dramatic shifts—calmer behavior at home, better sleep patterns, improved digestion, and a deeper sense of contentment.
This week, I invite you to notice your dog's movement.
Are they getting what they truly need? Sometimes the most loving thing we can do is admit we need support.
Your dog's well-being is an investment, not an expense. Their body, mind, and spirit will thank you.
🌿 Ready to give your pup the gift of movement?
Let's talk about how we can work together.
