Happy Birthday, Joe! 🎉🐐

Around here, Joe is the king of dad jokes, bad puns, and believing the goats are yelling “DAA!” every time they scream across the yard.

The goats would like to clarify:

They are saying “MAA.”
They have always been saying “MAA.”
They will continue saying “MAA.”

Joe hears “DAA” because Joe is a dad.

And because Joe is a dad, he is legally required to hear every goat noise as emotional validation.

Grandma, of course, would say, “If it feels good, do it.”

So today, we are letting Joe have this one.

Happy Birthday to our fence-fixing, hoof-trimming, goat-feeding, dad-joke-telling, “DAA”-hearing Joe.

May your birthday be full of cake, animals, laughter, and at least one goat yelling directly in your face so you can say, “See? They know me.”

It is a wonder I get anything done around here.

Bandit is not beside my laptop.

She is not helping from a respectful distance.

She is sitting directly on it.

Apparently, my workday has been paused for an emergency goat meeting, and the meeting is being held on the keyboard.

I would like to say she feels bad about this.

She does not.

She looks peaceful, productive, and deeply committed to preventing me from answering emails.

This is life with Bandit: the tiniest goat, the biggest personality, and absolutely no concern for office hours. 🐐💻

Bandit has officially entered her peaceful couch era. 🐐💤

No climbing.
No cord chewing.
No surprise appearances on farm equipment.
No mysterious relocation to places goats should not be.

Just one tiny goat, sleeping peacefully on the couch like she pays bills, owns throw pillows, and had a very stressful day managing the entire farm.

For once, Bandit is not causing chaos.

She is recharging for later.

And honestly, we are all a little suspicious.

They climbed into the back of the CRV and immediately acted like this was their vehicle, their bedding, their supply run, and their life now.

Bandit said, “Road trip?”
Rebel said, “No, this is our house.”

This is what chores look like at Faeryland’s Farm: one human trying to work, two goats turning the back of a CRV into a luxury barn suite.

They are not in the way.
