Shelter is at full capacity!!! Help is needed for adopters. Please share ..

35 dogs in Battle Creek are waiting right now… and the shelter is over capacity.

Some of them have been there longer than they should. Some are still wagging their tails every time someone walks by, hoping this is the one.

Spring is here… which means longer walks, more time outside, and the perfect chance to give a dog the life they’ve been waiting for.

You don’t just get a pet… you give a second chance.

Even if you’re not ready to adopt, take a look. Share it. You might be the reason one of these dogs finds a home.

👉 I’ve put the full list of adoptable dogs in the comments. Take a minute and see if one of them is meant for you.

Fosters and adopters needed !!!!!!! Please share the original post to help spread the word in Calhoun County
Thank you 😊!

Ozzy wishes his friends would get some adoption inquiries! We have dogs just as amazing as he is just waiting for someone to adopt them.

At the same time we are being inundated with requests to take stray dogs, unwanted dogs, found dogs, accidentally bred dogs...and we hear every tragic story under the sun.

We prioritize chained dogs we find through outreach. But dogs have to find homes for us to continue to rescue more.

We need 1-3 more foster homes IN Calhoun Co. Homes without a bunch of dogs. Homes with one dog who is extremely dog friendly. Homes that can keep cats in a different area for their safety and comfort.

Homes with secure fenced yards.

It's asking A LOT of people to give their hearts and homes for this. But opening a door to a desperate dog can also be pretty magical.

If you're in Calhoun co, reach out for fostering opportunities!
