Dear Diary,
There was a bear crossing the street by my house tonight! It was dragging a black trash bag that it found at my next-door neighbor's house. It pulled the trash bag to the side of the road and watched two cars go by. Charlie got a whiff of the bear and charged through our yard, barking his little Beagle head off! The bear carried the trash bag and walked into the woods. OMG!

Dear Diary,
Mom and I went on a sniffari today at the beach area at Fairystone State Park. I sniffed a lot of stuff including goose p**p which I then attempted to roll in. Mom caught me just in time! I sniffed around a creek, but I didn't want to go in past my ankles. Mom has noticed that I act hesitant and shy when meeting new people now. I even get a bit nervous when someone tries to pet my big head. When I lived in Roanoke, Mom and I walked around our neighborhood every day. We had lots of friends that we visited. I loved socializing with everybody, especially children. Now that we live in a rural area, I don't socialize with people and dogs too much, so I've lost some of my social skills. Mom says we have to work on that. She will bring treats on our hikes and sniffaris, so that people we meet will have yummy things to give me. I will like that very much. We might need to make some trips to Lowe's, Rural King, and Tractor Supply. Mom says field trips are important for all dogs, even as adults. I will let you know how it goes.
