Good Saturday! I want to thank the two people who send what they can weekly or when they can. They may think it's not much but it is. They thought of us. That said can anyone else help with food today?

Our account is low and bills are stacking again. A not-so-fun fav is when we unfortunately couldn't pay our electric bill on time back in August and got cut off. Guess what the lovely Duke Energy did? Because we failed to pay on time, even though we paid the same day, we are now hot with a $1100 security deposit. That's right! Falling behind keeps costing us in every way. They just slapped a $1100 deposit onto a $600+ electric bill totaling $1700 in one bill due October 28th. Just when we called they said it was due to the cutoff. Splitting it up still makes our bill high as hell for the next few months as they only split it so much. I never knew this happens. How do you make it harder for a person?

We are taking on everything and what comes in doesn't even compare to what is needed.
We are trying a food run today please consider helping we are broke and have one bag of dog food left, one bag of cat food, and no wet food especially for the cats. They truly need wet food to prevent a lot of things.

Thank you to the 3 people who help with food. We were able to get three bags of dog food. We still need 3 more and need of cat food please!

📷: Zeus is a Permanent resident here. He is 4 years old and loves his playtime. He is dog-selective some days he gets the full yard to himself 🤗. He has to be watched though as this puppet can clear oir 6ft fence and like to go after my neighbor's pig. So he has a warden when he is out!

Can we get some more help with food please? Thank you to the one person who sent help. We need more to step up and help with food. We seem to beg each time for the biggest necessities.

This Wednesday we could use some help with food. Cat food wet and dry and thanks to a wonderful Pack supporter we have a more affordable food for the dogs that seems to agree with the major. I still have a few who can’t change as their GI issues flare up. But if you are willing to help this week the bags are 50lbs and only $38 we need 6 bags for the week which comes to $250.08 when we checkout.
The food is available at Florida Farm and Ranch supply in Bartow. Its location is 2975 FL-60.

Calling to see if a more affordable vet can get her in but we still have to raise funds for her. She was originally a rescue transfer because being feral. Let’s not let her down.

We have to do better! I just saw 2 more rescues close. Too many rescues are closing because of a lack of funding, adoptions, and foster commitments! Not content but SUPPORT! Sadly, the animals are STILL the ones paying the price. Let that sink in!

We urgently need funds for the rescue and especially for Spade right now, one of our semi-feral kittens. She's not fond of human interaction, but she has shown some willingness to connect when she wants. She loves her kitty family though. Recently, when our A/C failed, we had to rely on a portable unit, which led to a mishap right before we got everything up and running. The hose became detached (they detached it as they used it as a sctrach post. I have taped that hose to try to secure it so many times), and several cats slipped out through the hole which less right out the window. Unfortunately, Spade decided to stay outside. I didn't raise a red alert since my neighborhood is small, she is spayed, vaccinated, and I believed she would return. Despite my efforts to trap her, she only showed up on Monday after a month-long adventure 😮‍💨, looking extremely skinny and with an eye injury.

I took her to the vet first thing Tuesday morning, despite limited funds. The vet confirmed that her eye needs to be removed, and she must gain weight before surgery. The estimated cost for her surgery is between $1,300 and $1,700. Her visit was $294.
I've been feeding her small amounts three times a day to help her recover. However, funding is a constant challenge, and we need to raise sufficient funds to prevent situations like this in the future. Although she must wait to gain weight, her eye condition is worsening, and we are determined to get her the care she needs.
