One of the best parts of being a pet sitter is the opportunity to build lasting bonds with the pets we care for. The hardest part is saying goodbye.

For the past year, we've had the privilege of caring for sweet Maggie, visiting her three times a day, seven days a week. Along the way, we also helped with trips to the veterinarian and groomer, and cherished every moment spent with her. Just as special was getting to know her wonderful mom, who became part of our Pet Care Club of Rhode Island family.

As Maggie and her mom begin an exciting new chapter in Virginia, we want them to know how much they will be missed. Thank you for trusting us with Maggie's care and for allowing us to be part of your lives.

We wish you both happiness, new adventures, and all the best in your new home.

Do you recognize this dog? She is a female, black Lab-type dog who was found at Pottsy Field on West Main Road in Middletown, RI. She was not wearing a collar or ID tags, and she is not microchipped. If you have any information about her family, please call the Potter League at 401-846-8276.

With blizzard conditions and walks/visits cancelled today, our pups might be feeling a little extra restless. What better time to celebrate National Dog Biscuit Day? 🦴

While the creator of this holiday is unknown, we have a sneaking suspicion some clever canines were involved.

Fun Fact: The first commercial dog treat — Spratt’s Meat Fibrine Dog Cakes — was created around 1860. Dogs have been happily crunching biscuits for over 160 years!

Since we’re all stuck inside, break up the boredom with an extra treat, a fun enrichment toy, or a little indoor training session. Your dog will thank you! 🐾💛
