๐ง๐พ A reminder for our Currituck County families โ the current Boil Water Advisory applies to our pets too! ๐ถ๐ฑ
While we are remembering to use safe water for ourselves and our families, please do not forget about the four-legged members of the family. ๐
๐ฐ Any water being added to your petโs bowl for drinking or preparing/mixing with their food should be bottled water OR tap water that has been vigorously boiled for at least one full minute and then allowed to cool completely.
๐๐พ I would also recommend holding off on non-essential baths until the advisory has been lifted. Currituck County advises extra caution when bathing babies and toddlers because they can easily swallow bath water, and the same concern applies to our pets. Pets may drink water during a bath or ingest it while licking their coat afterward.
๐ If you live outside the affected area but have family, friends, or neighbors who may be impacted, please reach out or share this with them so we can help keep both our two-legged and four-legged friends safe. ๐๐พ
