It’s and tick season is here! 🕷️🌿

Did you know that not all ticks are the same? Some species can carry diseases like Lyme disease, Anaplasmosis, Ehrlichiosis, and more. The tiny Deer/Blacklegged Tick is the primary carrier of Lyme disease, and because nymphs can be as small as a poppy seed, they’re easy to miss!

Here are a few ways to help protect your pets and family:
▪️ Use veterinarian-recommended tick prevention year-round
▪️ Check pets (and yourself!) after spending time outdoors
▪️ Pay close attention to ears, paws, necks, and under collars
▪️ Keep grass trimmed and brush cleared around your home

If you find a tick on your pet, remove it promptly and monitor for symptoms like lethargy, fever, limping, or decreased appetite. When in doubt, give us a call, we’re happy to help!
