I was able to secure 9 vouchers to get the feral felines from my property fixed and vaccinated. I only have 2 months to get this done! I have bought 1 live feral cat trap cage, now I need to buy 1 more as this is the only way they will accept the ferals for surgery. I had to buy printer ink (OUCH) $55 to print the vouchers off, great time to be out of ink :(
These cats and kittens are waiting for me when I walk out to go to work in the morning, they want their food and fresh water and of course I provide it for them, if I don't I don't think anybody else around my area would, most people don't want them being fed, which in my opinion is cruel.
There is a young cat in the bunch that is pregnant and I have been feeding her soft food. I hope when she has her babies that they will be able to survive as the last couple babies that were around here ended up dead in the yard, not sure how.

I began fostering dogs in Nov 2025 and my first one was Princess. She was about a year old and was an "Urgent Pet" as she was an adoption return and her time was up! I had her for 4 months and I was getting very close with her but I was fighting the foster fail because already having 5 dogs, I had my plate full. I took some really cute pictures of her and when I took her to the shelter for immunizations I shared the pictures and the girl said hey send those to the guy in charge would you and I said sure and sent them out. The next day I got a request to fill out Princesses report card. I was surprised that I was being asked if she resource guarded , now I was thinking the cards were stacked against this little girl because that adopter fail must have lied about the reason she was returned. Making a long story short, the transport rescue wanted her cute self and from then on I was hooked! I love being a part of transport fostering because it get's the dogs out of Texas and we all know how overpopulated we are here! So here is one of the beautiful photos I took of her!

Princess left Texas on March 14-2026, when I dropped her off at the shelter my heart broke, all I could think was that Princess must have thought I had also given up on her! I cried all the way home from the shelter and off and on throughout the coming days and then last week an update was posted, Princess was adopted by a family who adores her!!! Maybe just maybe Princess now understands why I left her and walked out of her life, " so she could have her own family" !

Dobie was adopted 6-28-2026. She now resides in Dallas and has a German Shorthaired Pointer for a brother. :)

#5 Transport Foster headed out. Every time a foster dog leaves, they take a little piece of my heart with them. 🥹 Another 1 leaving the great (overpopulated with pets) state of Texas!

😍 Dobie Girl loves to play with this herding ball, she thinks she's one of the German Shepherds! She is up for adoption for the minimal fee of $50. This rescue is NOT about the $ it's about moving these dogs out of rescue ASAP! and into their new homes. Fully vetted including Lepto 4, Microchipped, Spayed, on Heartworm/Dewormer & Flea & Tick Preventatives. She turned 1 year old June 11. A very good girl who listens so very well! She is also very loving. Blue Dobie Mix.

China was an adoption return, with heartworms, on the "urgent list" and in July 2025 she came home with me. She is now heartworm negative, immunized to also include Lepto, chipped, and spayed. She has come a long way and will make a great companion. I prefer her new forever home be with an experienced pit owner as she is very strong physically and has never been around children. She does very well with any dog she has been around but doesn't seem to care for cats.

Forgive & Forget Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill organization. Our mission is to rescue dogs n cats from the shelters of DFW, in order to rehabilitate and rehome. Owner surrenders are also welcome.

Picked up my transport foster yesterday ( #5) -she has a URI-is on her 2nd set of meds. She also has a skin issue that isn't clearing up, even after antibiotic use specific to the issue. She has been sunbathing alot this morning so maybe the good ole Vit D is what she needs? She will leave here the 1st week of July. Just a baby. 🥰
