Perimeter walks are part of daily life here on our homestead. It creates a strong bond as pack leader while reinforcing the boundaries of our property that they protect. These dogs absolutely love their jobs and work together to assure predators stay away by marking the perimeter and howling when they are in the area to keep them at bay. If any threat enters the property they are ready to fiercely defend it.

Tonight we put these 3 three babies up for their last night here with us at Sandy Pines Homestead. 😥

We are so privileged to be a part of these babies beginnings and watch them grow from little potatoes into 20 lb pups ready to bond and work with their new families while carrying a piece of our hearts with them. We will miss them however are so excited for their them and their new families.

We love pupdates!!!!!

The first of Sophie’s pups headed off yesterday on her journey home. We were told she “loves the beach” and who doesn’t 🤪😂. This is an example of perfect early socialization.

I know we are bias but the Anatolian Shepherd is our favorite breed. Their high intelligence and strong bond with their families makes them the perfect guardians and companions.

We are beyond excited for her future 🥰

We are preparing our first little one for her pick up 🤗.

Pick up day is very exciting for new puppy parents but very scary for these babies. We prepare them as best we can by sending them off with a blanket that smells like home while they learn the new sights, sounds and smells of their new family. We try to keep the day as normal as possible but a couple hours prior to pick up they are brought inside, cleaned up and our little cojack Bailey stays in the indoor playpen with them as emotional support.

Tears are shed when we say good bye but we know we have the very best families lined up to care for them as they grow into the wonderful adult dogs we know they will be.
