We are so excited to announce that all our newest puppies will go home with direct vet pay health coverage 🫶🏻

We have decided to partner with trupanion to ensure all our new babies are covered for unexpected health emergencies/needs for their first 30 days with their new families at no extra cost.

Sandy Pines is excited to announce✌️pregnancies as Mother Nature has decided that July should be full of sunshine and puppies 🥰. Watch for pregnancy confirmations next month then the new puppies in July. 🫶🏻

We at Sandy Pines have been a little silent as we are dealing with some family health issues……but we are still here keeping the homestead going and waiting on mother nature to bless us with some new pack members.
The garden is growing and the views from the hospital aren’t too bad 🫶🏻.
We will be on and off social media but appreciate everyone’s support through these personal challenges.

I swear baby chicks are programmed to give their people heart attacks…..our new chickies are enjoying their warm brooder box. We recently switched to a heater plate for our brooder along with a heating pad under it to keep it warm for the freshly hatched babies. These new chickies are likely a little warm but we will transition the heat down over the next couple days then move them outdoors prior to our next hatch 🐣.

*they are all very much alive. Just stretching out and adjusting to their new space.

These little chickies are now about 5 weeks old…..getting bigger….starting to wonder which are hens vs roos. That double wattle forming on our once handicapped chick is quite suspicious 🧐🐓
I have never been good at identifying hens vs roos so I welcome any tips to identify them prior to the “cock a doodle doo” 🤣
